Don’t let the National news fool you, people are still good.

This past week in my small home town a police officer was shot in the head while responding to a shoplifting report. He was life flighted, he will likely not be back at work for a long time, maybe never. In response our small town has raised some 200k or so to help his family not have to worry about anything. Literally 10s of thousands have given, held raffles, ran in races where the proceeds are donated etc. Thousands gathered to pray, to show support, and to be a community. I’d bet the troubled young man (who killed himself) never voted. His family are also victims of his horrible crime and decision. Like our Police Chief said Sunday, they are in our thoughts and prayers and we as a community will support them during this time of tragedy.

I should have said progressives instead of liberals. There is a difference but it doesn’t matter. A classic liberal voting for a democrat is endorsing California progressivism, BLM and the trans queers pissing in our daughters and wives restroom.

I vacillate between believing this and not believing it. There are certainly bad people among us, but I think that there is such a yearning in people for communing with their neighbors, for being part of a town, for belonging..it was intoxicating to be around so many people yearning to help. It might not last, but my corner of the world is alright by me right now!

Why do you have to come and be a piece of shite in this thread? I live close and it looked like the entire community came together because politics come second to something like this. Spill your hate somewhere else.
Tragic what happened. Nice to see a community get together and help out. Prayers will continue to be sent.
