The U.S. Justice Department has requested to interview FBI officials who were involved in the 2022 search of Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in ?Florida as part of a wide-ranging probe examining past investigations of the president, four sources ?familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

The requests came from investigators working with Joe diGenova, a Trump ally who began overseeing ?the Florida-based investigation earlier this year. The investigation has been seeking to establish that Trump was the victim of a criminal conspiracy against his rights.

The questioning over the Mar-a-Lago search, which was first reported by the Associated Press, is an indication the probe is examining a range of prior government investigations into Trump's ?conduct.

Spokespeople for the Justice Department and ?FBI did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

If we had a functioning government they would have already been tried by a military tribunal, a fair and impartial panel.

I would give them a choice, firing squad or rope.

This is awful journalism. Investigations don’t seek to establish a crime. That wording places blame of the crime on the investigation.

How about: “The investigation seeks to determine if Trump was the targeted victim of a crime al- by a weaponized FBI with the intent to remove an opposition candidate from an election”.

I don't recall seeing this come out in public earlier this year.

Glad to see it the raid and those behind it being investigated. If this was a necessary raid, why was the media tipped off? FFS he was a former President, not a hardened violent criminal that necessitated these actions.

No if we had a functioning government the current DOJ would be forced to function as intended, and not a tool for the president to attack people he dosen't like.
