Would be super groovy as I am in the market and would like for it to be an easy transaction that costs $200 cheaper.

The process, fees and registration are what's keeping me from putting a can on everything I own. Oklahoma law is pretty lax on what they report when buying a firearm. Dealers must disclose that they sold you a firearm but not what firearm it was. Could've been a Ruger 10-22 or a Black Rain Ordnance 300BO. But if I buy a suppressor, I have to specifically report that it's for a 7.62 NATO or 556 or 9mm or whatever else.

Just make it an accessory like everything else, like buying a replacement upper.

I am currently waiting on two stamps, I would imagine given my luck in such matters things will change the day after I receive them

I'm currently considering replacing most of my go-to cans with lbp/flow through stuff, which is a bit annoying as I suspect I'll have zero interest in using most of my current stuff once I make the switch (so it's a lot of sunk cost I can't do anything with).

Who's Maxim?

Hiram Percy Maxim patented his "silencer" on March 30, 1909 (he had been selling them since 1902). He was the son of Hiram Stevens Maxim, the man who invented the first fully automatic machine gun (not to be confused with Gatling's gun, which was hand-cranked).

Silencers are on all the guns in Europe and the weenie hut junior brigade doesn’t have problems with them…

I don’t know why our creeps are so afraid of them it should be the opposite response.

Yep, shot my brother’s suppressed rifle a few weeks ago. It’s still pretty loud.

with lbp/flow through stuff,

You have a quick primer on this? I'll definitely be in the market if this moves forward.

Many places in europe require that you have a suppressor on your firearm (if youre allowed to have one) for safety.

It's really stupid that we have to hop through hoops for them. After the Supreme court ruling on ghost guns, we need a win on this

It's almost hilarious how intentionally wrong and clearly uninformed some of the anti gun groups are.

So you are saying it wouldn't be a huge hazard to legalize these to the general public? Are you crazy. These devices are sooo deadly. Why do think that almost all criminals use them.... oh wait. never mind.

I've avoided cans thus far just because of the red tape, but I'm probably going to end up getting one just for my Savage bolt .22. Damn thing is a tack driver. I'm just inside city limits but deal with racoons trying to decapitate the chickens and ducks after dark in a very quiet neighborhood. CB shorts are effective at dispatching the little bastards, but of course range is an issue and it's still loudish. I'm friends with most of our local cops and went to high school with the Chief, but I still don't want to push my luck obviously discharging within city limits.

I killed three of those bastard raccoons last July when everyone was popping fireworks all over town though. We've got a red fox and a bobcat or two in the woods behind the house as well, but they've never once bothered the poultry or even come near the house.

Proofreading this before posting, I'm realizing it's probably better subject matter for the OB.
