If that's saving money, then it's a drop in the bucket but I'm sure given time, they'll find a lot more.

I would suggest everyone run their own DOGE on their own finances. You'll always be surprised what you find

Is there somewhere that they list out what has been cut?

A great idea. I bet we’re wasting money on all kinds of stuff.

That is what is needed, otherwise, the number is meaningless.

It could be made up for all I know.

Cancel your Netflix and other entertainment subscriptions, plus pay down debt obligations from future interest expenses, downgrade cellphone plans, cancel cable, newspaper subscriptions, stop buying over priced socialist coffee from the green lady, etc.

You can find a few dollars here or there.

Netflix is a huge waste.

After the age of 30, no one really should be in any kind of consumer debt. You should have learned your lessons by then at the latest.

If you have to borrow money for it (besides a home and possibly a good reliable car -- I haven't bought a new car since '93), you don't need it.

My coffee is a nice mix of Bustello and Cafe Du Monde.

Frick going to a cafe for it on an everyday basis.

I bought my first new vehicle since 1989 this year

2024 Sierra Denali

I love it, and don't apoligize for spending a lot of money on it...

I own my own business and put the work in, deal with the stress that come with managing clients and people,

Materalism can ruin you, leave you empty, but you also need to enjoy life as well

a nice truck isn't really a big deal

Yeah... like realizing Netflix has been used once in the past year to watch Mike Tyson's old arse (literal & figuratively) lose a fight.

Take what Rand Paul put out as his annual list of waste last month and cut at least a third of that.

The DOGE Clock is a feature added to the U.S. Debt Clock website, designed to calculate and display the savings allegedly made through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). This department, led by Elon Musk, was established to reduce government waste, fraud, and abuse in federal agencies. The clock represents these savings as a "real-time savings objective" rather than actual savings achieved. It has been noted that the figures shown on the DOGE Clock are not reflective of actual government savings since no new budget bill had been passed by Congress at the time of its introduction. Therefore, the clock serves more as an indicator of potential or targeted savings rather than confirmed reductions in government expenditure
