You must have missed the part where he slammed manufacturers for offshoring (Toyota, for one)

So you don't own any really good guitars,like a Martin,Taylor,or U.S.made Fender?Gibson?
How about guns? Trucks? Tools?
What kind of stupid crap do you spend your money on? Digital coffee makers and game consoles?

Everybody has their own idea of quality. Mercedes are great cars, but I have also owned some damn great Chevrolets.
In most countries, people make it a point,to buy products that are made there. They know that to do otherwise is bad for their economy in the long run.
I think U.S. automakers got badly off track for a while, and tried too hard to make cars that were more like import cars, instead of sticking to their tried and true formats.
It's obvious how successful every front engine/rear wheel drive car built in America is. There are only a handful of them, but they are the best sellers. As far as I know, they are all good cars too, inexpensive to own,and maintain.
Those are the kinds of cars we should be focused on building, instead of trying to copy imports.
Build cars that will be classics 30 years from now.

Ever heard of Haas? Often considered the #1 CNC manufacturer in the world. All parts made in the great USA. I'm sure you're not aware, but CNC machines are the machines that make everything else in the world.

Wanna know where all those foreign made CNC machines in the US are refurbished? That's right, in the USA, by Americans. All those refurbished electronics? Done in the USA also.

You're an idiot if you think products are made outside of the USA for quality instead of cheap arse labor.

You are full of it.

American made products are some of the very best.

Almost all top end products were designed here.

Perhaps you prefer to work in a Chinese or Indonesian manufacturing facility. Quality products, quality benefits for the worker.

This is so stupid. There aren't as many goods that are solely made in one country. For example, you're using an iPhone then there are parts in it made in America.

You should move to the country that provides you with the majority of your "high quality" products.
