This is right on.

We have a large group on this board who specialize in "guilt by association".

Not really

I read the excerpt from his book that goes over his view of the Iraq war and foreign policy in general and it differs from theirs

They are largely coalescing around DeSantis because they think he has the best shot of knocking Trump out the primary. I and many others who support DeSantis consider that a factor as well because I don't believe Trump can win the general. But big picture I am more socially and fiscally conservative than Trump. Trump did anti-2A moves, spent like crazy, won't attempt to fix entitlements, and sucked up to LGBT among other things. I don't think Bush or Ryan care about those things as much, but I do. And DeSantis is to the Right of Trump. Lastly, Trump administration was chaotic and largely ineffective at getting lasting policy done. DeSantis has proven to be more disciplined and on target.

So I guess in the mind of MAGA it's OK that Trump hires John Bolton and other swamp creatures and lets Fauci do whatever he wants, but the possibility of hiring Karl Rove is a bridge too far.

Got it.

How can they vote for someone that Bush/Ryan/Rover "support?"

If it’s true that these assholes are running Desantis’s campaign - I cannot and will not vote for Ron Desantis. They will be running the country. The GOPe having a majority in congress during the Obama yrs and squandering it is 75% of the reason I hate Paul Ryan and Karl Rove. It’s not a history I would like to see repeated.

Their support would absolutely make my decision for me.

So you'd support Democrats instead?

I don't understand your soap box in the big picture.

I’m going to see what he says and hope he clearly articulates views and plans on a number of issues the way I want. It’s easier to hold the feet to the fire of a guy who wants to be re-elected on such things.

I’m cautiously wary of these types of “endorsements” but as of right now I’m not going to make them a deal killer.

There’s no difference.

I would abstain. If I’m going to be stuck with democrats, at least I’m not endorsing it, or feeding the Uniparty beast.

Ryan/Bush brand of republicans are democrats who pray in public. Their “conservative” beliefs are window dressing.

There's no difference between Progressivism and populism. They are one and the same.

Reading this board, its not the Swamp or DeSantis group panicking.

Get off of the board and turn on any MSM outlet and listen to the Manhattan DA and you’ll quickly see where the panic originates. The filth is petrified of anything Trump and I’m not sure why.

You're a lawyer, right?

Are you saying there is no difference between GOP and Dem judges?

tCult was turned into low IQ, populist progressive mobs.

I said in 2016, Trump would lead flakey Republicans toward socialism and I was dead on.

So you didn't feel that way in 2020 when Rove worked for Trump but you do now. Typical.
