They aren’t. I have first hand knowledge and know some of the troops involved in these ops.
The biggest abuse they face is dealing with Navy BS as Army troops while on their boats.
Believe it or not, lethal military members like being lethal.
Thanks. That's a helpful answer from experience.
My mentor served on USS Missouri, which famously ran aground. He said the only combat he saw was fighting Army troops in bars who gave them shite about it.

Dear ChatOP
They don't get due process because they are attempting to enter the USA with dangerous goods. This isn't a crime being committed inside the USA, this is the administration classifying them as dangerous foreign actors and responding with deadly force.
Lemme guess, you think we should have arrested the pilots of the fighters at Pearl Harbor? That they had 'rights'?
Dumbass
p.s. Did you know that the Coast Guard needs no warrant to search a US flagged boat in international waters? Even American citizens lose a lot of rights, in international waters.

It's wild that with the flick of a pen on an executive order, we now have purported legal justification to assassinate civilians of another country just off of their coast.
Yeah, yeah, Obama drones, blah, blah.

I honestly believe that people who get their "law degrees" from ChatGPT need to be horsewhipped and left in the streets to be ridiculed.
Please add that to the matrix so that the next time you ask a stupid question to the AI, it will remind you of your ignorance and arrogance.
I got my legal degree from a top ten law school, chief. I used to take the time to compile all the relevant statutes. I have learned that's a waste of time for most here.
They don't really care what the law IS. They just know what they WANT it to be. Ultimately, as shown in this thread, they don't care about the rule of law.
I use AI to save time.

Conclusion
You've never served or perhaps even been in close proximity with those who have. This is precisely why you join, to protect your country and its interests (And apply violence in a completely legal, and societally accepted manor (minus you Lib-pussies who bitch about literally, everything)).
Why TF have the best weapons, tactics, training, etc...ever, if you losers are more happy to let Americans die and our influence be diminished? We train for this and we hope for the chance to get to carry out operations that will positively affect our Nation and deter our enemies. Get on board or STFU.

Imagine if The Left protested this hard over the unborn
Did you not read the part where I said I don't care about drug runners? It's not about them. It's about US. Should any President have the legal right to convert a criminal matter into a military matter just on his say so? Is he putting military members in legal jeopardy through these killings?
As a full-Bible-believing Christian I abhor abortion and do whatever I can to protest and oppose it.
I know most don't care about the rule of law, but President Trump is aware of the legal ramifications IF there were a double tap to kill ship wreck survivors. That's why he says at 1:54 of this video that he wouldn't have wanted a second strike on that boat:

stop trying to bring poison into our country and you'll be fine.

You're missing the bigger picture.
If we ignore the law, what prevents another admin from making you a "criminal" on flimsy legal authority?

The Afghan Taliban, for instance, was never designated as an FTO during the war in Afghanistan, which demonstrates that FTO status is not a prerequisite for military engagement.
Good point, but weren't all of our military actions in Afghanistan covered under the AUMF?
I didn't say that FTO status was a prerequisite for killing people. I was just wondering where people got the belief that FTO status authorized the killing of non-combatants.
I have seen lots of moronic, misguided personal attacks on me for asking a basic question, but I haven't seen a plausible answer.

We have chosen to execute these boat people with our military. Is that legal?
Yes. Most of us actually in the military are pretty happy with this vs sending billions in military aid to Ukraine too. We would rather take direct action to secure our borders.

Don’t be such a pussy. You love running drugs into America so much, why don’t you go sign yourself up?

You would rather have people killed by drugs arguing in favor of drug runners.

You approve of drugs being run into our country. You don’t understand the heart of the law— to protect American people.
You’re just a godless bitch.
