If I'm either Letlow or Fleming - I don't want anything to do with him.

But what happens to Cassidy's milquetoast voters?

Philosophically - Cassidy and Letlow are more similar - so do they go to her?

Cassidy voters hate Landry as their motivating factor, so do they go to Fleming?

Fleming's actual base of support (which although I voted for him, I don't have any strong feelings either way - and it was largely based on the fact that he likely only has one term in him, as opposed to Letlow and we can certainly find another candidate in 6 yrs) is more energized than Letlow's, and they also hate Landry. So do they combine with Fleming to put him over the top?

And plus WTF does Trump do? Rallies for Letlow?

Anyway. Cassidy sucks and I'm so glad he lost.

My suspicion is, his work is done here. I certainly can't imagine there will be any rallies for her.

Neither wants his endorsement.

However, if he gives one of his own accord it's not going to be Trump's candidate.

Cassidy’s endorsement would be the kiss of death to either candidate.

Cassidy’s best move is to champion the causes that he believes in (healthcare and entitlement reform) and try to convince whomever replaces him to continue pushing for his policy aims on those key issues.

The race is over. I say this as someone who was rooting for Treasurer Fleming.

I just don't see how Rep. Letlow doesn't get the remaining 5% +1 she needs in the primary runoff. Plus, she's already in Congress. Even if Cassidy supporters don't like her, the vast majority who don't sit out the primary runoff will vote for her because of "seniority".

It is what it is. At least Cassidy won't be in the Senate after January 2027.

Cassidy is poison for both.

Another thing I’ve been thinking about. It would be interesting to see how many Dems crossed over and who they voted for.

I think Letlow got a lot of ant-Cassidy votes. I don’t know how motivated they will be in the runoff now that Cassidy is gone.

It's an interesting question.

As illogical as it sounds, Cassidy endorsing Letlow is probably the best chance Fleming would have.

Having said that, I can't think of any scenario where Cassidy would endorse the candidate Trump endorsed that, from his perspective, killed his re-election campaign.

In reality, Cassidy was done already. He was peak unpopular. It's almost impossible to get where he was. He was either clueless...or just didn't care what his constituents wanted.

I don't think Cassidy actually brings much. The people who voted for him were in very large part just ignorant voters...or not Republicans. I'd say maybe 10% really liked Cassidy.

Cassidy endorsement would be bad for either one. Neither one could possibly want it.

Nah, they want it, just not openly.

At some point Cassidy will accept that the voters, and only the voters, said they don't like him or his positions against Trump. Once he does, he'll lean towards someone to support. His ego is too big to just go away

At least 87.42 % Cassidy's voters will vote democrat. Therefore, Letlow should back Fleming.

I think if anything, Cassidy's voters go with Fleming as a way to vote against Trump. But honestly, I think they just don't vote. Why would those pussy arse voters vote for Fleming or Letlow? I don't see any reason they'd do so because that would be so against their anti-Trump mentality.

He is a big herpes boil and it has nothing to do with endorsements.
