re: Does anyone here on this board have the balls to say they oppose weed legalization?

Sure. First question: Would you say the DEA is pro marijuana or anti marijuana?
Mixed bag. Some agents will say the "war" needs to end. Others will want to take more steps.

The current "War on drugs" is not a war at all. I agree that it needs to change.

Wrong.
And this is why I do not engage with people like you. When you can no longer defend your position, you get personal.
Have a great one. We are done.

Marijuana should be legalized. At the very least, decriminalized. It is absurd that we incarcerate and ruin the lives of so many for such a petty crime as possession of this substance.
And, no...I do not partake. Haven't in 40 years.

The world is moving away from the idea of mass incarceration. It's coming this way, you might as well give up your fight.

I am getting personal because you can't defend your position as a freaking medical doctor that hundreds of people fatally overdose from smoking marijuana every year you dumb frick.

Again I 100 % believe that its a mixed bag based on the case.
Same as the CIA.
Bottom line for me is I disagree with the war on drugs because its anything but.

Yes really... we have 2 reports that conflict.
One thing is certain. In a legalized state, it is higher than the national average per your report by WaPo.
Care to address the other portion of the post?

I can promise you there are more lbs being transported out of the legal states by Americans to states that aren't legal and want the good stuff instead of Mexican dirt weed. Not even counting other western states with medical marijuana.
Know Why? There's money to be made.
You used to be able to get a lb in Oregon for about 2700 a few years ago if you knew someone. 3k if you didn't.
It goes for no more than 1500 a lb now on the street. Guess why? It's legal, soon the state will be bloated and imo many (ill guess 30%) of these dispensaries will close shop. The smartest owners have established their own gardens and sell to their dispensary and have better odds of staying in business long term.
I've personally witnessed the prices all over the state. Soon it'll be even cheaper.
For the longest time, and still to this day, there are a lot of houses littered all over the state that are big grows. Portland especially. These aren't run by cartels. It's locals making money, serious money.
These people now have to find customers in other states to make the money they were. Either that or grow twice as much and still sell local to have the same profit. Which means twice the work....frick that.
When this country is legal on a federal level that same thing will occur nationwide.
Eventually it won't be worth renting 10 houses, nutrients, labor, electric bills, and the labor involved every 6 weeks making a dump run. I know people who have moved so they don't have to ship, less risk.
The biggest reason Oregon reduced the amount of plants a med patient or a caretaker can grow is because they know people are selling half their crops in or out of the state.
You're dumb so this might shock you but big time growers did not want Oregon to become legal. They knew they would lose money and it didn't take very long for this to become true.
There's still lots to be made but the green rush will slow down eventually when every state has dispensaries selling locally.

Because every study you'll easily find on the internet contradicts the information you posted.
In my State, there are literally no negative affects of weed. In fact, marijuanatourism has been a huge boon in the wake of a sluggish economy.

LINK

You cant possibly argue that.
First we ise Portugal, and that has been in place for 16 years. When I showed the cartels there still operating, it changed to well its not legal there.
So I asked for a real example. It was colorado. Now I show you 2 arrests years after legalization and cartels working there and some how you want ro push it to a hypothetical future.
This is the appeasement of Hitler. Same results. Mob, mafia, cartels... they are not concerned about your laws... pro or anti . They care about $$$$%
Yoh will not and have not put them out of business nor hurt them. All they have done is come state side
