re: Does anyone here on this board have the balls to say they oppose weed legalization?

It's been proven numerous times in this thread that ending prohibition makes us all safer.
No it has not. Again you pointed out a decrease during WWII. That does not work.
I have pointed that out and I explained that the number of homicides before and during were about the same.

It should be 100% legal, but until it is, you have to enforce the laws. That being said, the states that have legalized it for medicinal or recreational use should not have the Feds breathing down their necks.

What years were WWII?
Prohibition is the government protection of cartels business and the black market

So the CDC says 1 in 10 become addicted. Whoooo boy!
And everything else below that has the precursor of "*MAY* cause"
All that and yet we still have no recorded deaths of long term marijuana use.

That's a pretty big leap there.

People getting treated for drug use that is not using drugs!
Christ. Let me spell it out for you.
Drug USAGE and drug ADDICTION are not the same thing as TREATMENT for drug addiction.
People who USE/who are ADDICTED are not always TREATED for addiction. Normally, when drug use/sale is illegal, people are imprisoned rather than treated (see a U.S. prison system inundated with nonviolent drug offenders).
Thus, when drugs are decriminalized and the government shifts focus to treating drug addicts (see Portugal), the TREATMENT statistics necessarily increase (which, by the way, is a really good thing) in spite of the lack of a corresponding increase in usage.
What else you got, wonder boy?

Every bit of evidence you have presented has been refuted.
So I will ask you again Roger, what evidence do you have outside of war time.
You have asked all of the questions to this point. So I will ask a few:
Since consumption dropped during prohibition and increased dramatically afterwards, do you expected to see a dramatic increase in drug use when/if it's increased?
What are you prepared to do with the know consequences in cost with abuse and use?
What are you prepared to do with the extra weight that will be dumped onto the healthcare system?

Do you care about freedom?
Your approach to freedom is not exactly in line with the word. Should people be free to take what they want? What about own a slave?
There are limits Roger. When your freedoms are costing others, your freedoms are limited.

None of it has.
The only reasons to support the drug war are
-You hate freedom
-You love wasting money
-You prefer an unstable, violent society
Us freedom loving patriots will be on the other side

I dont need you to spell it out hero. I understand exactly whats being stated.
It is a simple question. Is treatment up 60%? Yes. Who is paying for it. There is the problem hero.

First, link to the supposed increased burden. Then weigh whatever bullshite stat that you can find against the corresponding decrease in penal system expenditures (it'll come out as a financial win, trust me on this one).

This is the only one you can argue against. It's not like the drug dealers are going to start a legitimate business, they will just find something else to make illegal income.
