Sure, but no reason to shite on them for trying.

Why not ask for better work conditions? And in this story, why the frick are you taking the multimillion dollar companies side?

OK, you tell me. How did Amazon become so large? Was it by forcing consumers to buy their products? Slave labor?

What in the hell does the "free market" have to do with Amazon?

If you don’t want to work hard then warehouse work isn’t for you. It’s a job not a prison sentence. I’m not cut out to do factory work. I could if I had to but I found other means to support myself. I tried many things before finding what I enjoy and could make money at. I then focused on developing a skill set that ensured I was always able to work in that field at a premium.

It's a bit more complicated and nuanced than that m'dude.

It's easy for you to bloviate from your cush office job.

It is a whole different scenrio if you are a low skilled worker with limited options for jobs.

Why is it okay for companies to treat their workers like shite when they are making billions?

Sounds like a lazy bitch complaining about a semi-demanding job. If you don't like what the job entails, don't work there.

So don’t be a low skill worker. It’s not hard or difficult to acquire a fungible skill set.

I am guessing you don't know anyone that works there. I don't know many, but all three of them are pretty liberal and they love it. Remember a few years back when Democrats tried to get workers to walk off the job and picket? I remember. I also remember the Democrats having to hire people to picket that didn't even work there because there was only like a dozen employees that did it.

What I don't understand is why when you have a company like this that the employees seem to enjoy working for, why would you want to go after them. I thought we would would want to praise companies that treat employees well.

Maybe she would be happier being in roofer in the South when it's 140 degrees on the roof. Or maybe work with asphalt in the summer. Don't even know what that heat is like.

They still require people to voluntarily purchase from them and voluntarily work for them in order to survive. Without that they are dead.

Bad guess. I do know people that work there. They don't have to simp for billionaire subversives in order to appreciate their jobs.

Amazon/Bezos is coming after us. You have it backwards.

I will defend Amazon here because I have to deal with these types of employees daily. For whatever reason, employees have apparently had their minds distorted to think that because a business makes money it should be shared equally and that maximizing profits should be an afterthought.

Also, I make $71k, champ.

Why is it so hard to grasp nuance with conservatives on this board?

There are structural problems that can make it difficult to succeed.

Also, someone has to do those jobs so you can get your prime deliveries.

Why are there so many heartless psychos here?

It's not ok in my opinion to treat people like shite even if you're making zero money. With that said, if you want a job that is going to pay better than any other job you could get at a low skill level and simultaneously get strong benefits, you may have to take some bad with good. And even then, you don't HAVE to.

Unless you are THE BOSS, sometimes your job is going to truly suck. If you don't think it's worth it, go find another one. May not pay as well, but at least you will be comfortable.

"Amazon is the free market!"

*whines about the labor market demanding more from their employer

You guys actually make it easy for 'tarded progressives to dominate you in these stupid exchanges. That's sad, because progressives would have nothing it weren't for the softballs you toss at them constantly.

You are good at pretending to sound smart, but when the US Government is having hearings to debate taking action against a PRIVATE employer because of worker complaints, that is not free market.

Because Conservative Inc. has them programmed to simp for the billionaires that fund Conservative Inc. That means the only thing they can talk about are how ungrateful employees are, how good megacorp USA is for American, and how great our greatest ally is.

It's absolutely forbidden to make a connection between the billionaire class, their corporations, and the cultural rot in this country. After all, cheap iPhones!

Low skill/ no skill labor has no power. As soon as it’s no longer economically viable to pay for, it’s replaced by automation. Grocery store workers started to unionize and we started seeing self checkout, online ordering of groceries, automated distribution, centralized meat shops (removed meat cutters from stores), automated scanning of shelves, etc. . Obama all but killed the full time position and unions are driving automation.

I agree 100%! Their problem is...Amazon is one of the very few employers hiring during COVID flu season. They have no choice so they feel like they are forced to work there.

Huh. Crazy that Amazon and Wally world were able to remain open.
