Doctors will be as hated as much lawyers after this.

They are not the be-all end-all they think they are. Yes they have a vital important part to play in all of this but their opinion on getting back to normal should not be final. There’s a million other factors at work that also affect the health and well-being of society. And they are totally discounting that because they’re one dimensional on this right now.
Always beware of following just the expert’s advice.
An edit for all the male Karen’s out there jumping on something that should be obvious. I’m talking about the mouthpieces on TV that are telling us to wait months and months for this to be over with and not given concern to anything else. Obviously I’m not talking about the ground level doctors. Yes they are freaking heroes but I didn’t think that need to be explained. Damn this bored sometimes

Seriously?
The ones working 18 hour shifts in hospitals that are the most likely place to catch the virus?

We haven't peaked in cases yet. It was a choice of letting it run its course and thinning the heard would have occured (2 million or more deaths) or try to slow the spread down to get time to get therapies in place and not overwhelm the hospitals.
Did the entire country need to be shutdown? No. Just certain areas with large outbreaks, but since we are where we are just get it done with sooner than later and keeping people home is the way to get it done faster.

A lot of doctors and medical professionals do not agree with Dr. Fauci at all.
Also, I don't know how you couldn't have the up most respect for medical care workers right now in times like this. Lot of people putting their health and well being on the line to help others.

Lawyers will quickly blow back past them once the fear phase is over.

If anything they’re getting even more praise

No, obviously I’m not talking about them. I forget on this board you have to explain everything. I’m talking about the ones that are getting up on TV and news cameras and saying we might have to wait to three months and so forth. Obviously ones on the ground level are great heroes. Geez this board sometimes

I think your either high, drunk, or dumb....either way you're impaired. Healthcare workers are frontline troops on the COVID19 battle and they're to be commended for their tireless service.

What in the frick is this.
Seriously?
The person who is sticking their face right in the breath to intimate people, the people, including nurses and virtually all other healthcare providers, are being told by you we don't need you?
In this time when their knowledge and expertise and hell bravery is most needed, you say they aren't all that?
This is the time they show is they are in fact all that.
I'm sad that I only have one downtown to give you.

You’re a moron. Doctors are literally following orders and directives issues by the CDC. My wife is an ER doc (no pics) and she has been working her arse off the last 2.5 weeks with inadequate PPE for a healthcare system that is busting at the seams. These are uncharted waters and everyone is navigating the best they can. She puts herself at risk everyday and doesn’t bitch about it. So seriously... go frick yourself

Personally don’t care if they’re loved or hated.
Just shut up and do your job

Are we jumping the shark? Because it feels like we are jumping the shark

I don't agree with the OP... BUT I am already fed up with the hero worship of doctors/nurses. They still have jobs (that they signed up for ) and are still getting paid.
Not everyone can say the same lately.

I knew what you meant but you're still wrong. Doctors even on tv deal in unknowns. There's nothing unknown about the money you pay a lawyer. It's right there in black and white at the bottom of the bill you get.

Doctors will never be looked at the same way people view lawyers. A fricking monkey can graduate law school. I think algebra is the math requirement to apply for law school. Dr.’s are smart as shite even if they are not very good doctors. They pass a lot of very difficult material over the course of 8 years at a minimum. There is no way to compare these two professions!
