Do you want a Governor that supports a financially irresponsible socialist Stacey Abrams?

So JBE gave $5000 to this lady's campaign. Obviously she is the kind of Governor he wants to be. She had $170,000 in credit card debt and had not paid her income tax when she ran. She is closely associated with the Socialist Democrats of America in Atlanta and our Governor admires her so much he had his PAC send her $5000.

Vote him out.

He's a Democrat

And not an "old school" Democrat.

He's a modern progressive that prevaricates and hides his nature to fool voters.

Just like he used to do to juries when he was practicing.

Think I’m going with him too. I’m not real thrilled with either.

At some point, you would think everyone would be able to realize, that doesn’t exist anymore and probably never will again.

Stacey Abrams is a fellow traveler of The Squad. Support for her is support for AOC.

Well Rispone is a successful businessman and understands things from a business point of view. He is a strong advocate for school choice.

Abraham is probably the better politician if that means anything. I am suspect of a doctor having control of the medicaid budget.

I will vote for anybody in the runoff against JBE.

This was known when she ran?

How much does/did she owe in income taxes, and have the irs gone after her? Interesting how the IRS went after conservative pacs, but not a dem that owed them money.

Yes. She owed over $50,000 in income taxes and entered into a pay back arrangement with the IRS. It is interesting she was not paying her taxes but was putting personal money into her campaign.

The democrats that voted for her didn't care. You know the dems and JBE only think other people should actually pay taxes.

She has said recently she would accept a VP nomination.

The RGA needs to run ads/billboards liking JBE to Abrams and The Squad. They would not be deceptive; silence regarding their actions is approval.

They are neither super campaigners, but I think either would be a good governor.

How in the hell is it possible to have $170,000 in credit card debt? The interest alone on that is traumatizing.

They each seem passable and many orders of magnitude better than the current governor. However, I think our state needs a true visionary leader at this juncture. That may be a unicorn, but I’m fairly certain it’s not either one of those guys.

I'm as conservative as it gets, but this is the one thing I can't get behind...mostly due to how it would be turned into a crapshow by the same people who run bad ISDs now.

Our society can't properly manage it. Opens up for coruption, and will most likely force good establish private schools to take students it doesn't or be "racist".

Way more can be done to fix public schools, and they have plenty of money to do so. Unfortunately, you have bad public school educated people running the public schools, and it won't change. Soo it's bound to be bad.

Imagine having a super successful white Ivy league businessman with lots of restructuring experience, waking up one day, and telling himself he has plenty of money, and wants to do good for society. So retires from his board, and throws his hat in to head a large major city, with large inner city presence, ISD . Most qualified person by far, but he's white. Most would look at it as a great thing..."sign him up!", but sadly his chances of getting the nod are small....because he's white.

Why do you say that?? Do you remember the corruption of the Orleans Parish school board??

No private school has to take voucher students. Who said that? But none the less the private school doesn't have to change it's academic standards. Does it matter the race of the kids if the discipline and academic standards are what you want??

Has not happened and will not happen.

What has happened is that the only school system in the state without a government run school has advanced tremendously under an all charter & voucher system. That is Orleans Parish.

Just think how incredible it is that the entire system has advanced from the bottom rated school system in the state to one that is rated a "C" ahead of 10 or 12 systems including systems like Tangipahoa in less than 15 years. That is really remarkable. What system could have had the challenges of Orleans Parish?

We need to do it statewide ASAP. No one should have to be at the mercy of government bureaucrats drawing lines on a map dictating where the publicly funded educations they have paid for through their taxes will be available.

When Charter Schools fail they close. Government schools just keep going on.

unfortunately, they're changing the names of schools to go back to that era... KIPP Renaissance and Lake Area have become Douglass and Kennedy again. They want to appeal to the community but that community has changed
