I've considered this idea as well and the problem is there's just no way to stop the politicalization.
Just like gerrymandering the next step is to start carving up districts into smaller chunks to get more justices.
I can agree with your sentiments. Other than changing or adding constitutional amendments, I do not know how you stop the manipulation in order to favor one party or another. I agree the Democrats would not like the interior part of the country having an advantage in this scenario.

No. I could not be more firmly on the record that seats should not be added to the court by any party.

Yes I agree. You need an amendment to fix the number of Justices and to repeal the 17th amendment.

I used to hate the idea.
The Sneate used to treat the nomination process as something that was sacred and much less partisian. If this process is to now become partisan and weaponized ( by either party) we need a better check and balance to prevent party politics from creating too much leverage and upending this balance of poweer. With life expectancy getting longer, I think adding 2 justices to the court may not be a bad idea. The court has had a differenct compliment over its history and I think I see more good than bad in this idea. I would add 2 justices

No. SCOTUS should remain at 9 justices

No. Gerrymandering is bad enough. Court packing would even be worse. Where would "it's being done in the name of fairness" end?

THIS. AND a constitutional amendment saying so

I support appointing justices who objectively uphold the law based on the constitution and laws of the land no matter who selects them. I am against activist judges no matter which way they lean.

This is the correct answer.

Regardless of party. 9 justices is enough

No.
And I support an armed revolution against the left if they do go ahead with it

I support a Supreme Court comprised of 9 duly-appointed and confirmed justices who, irrespective of party or ideology, will determine the constitutionality of our laws and policies according to the U.S. Constitution itself.
Period.
Period.
