Biden will not commit to a stance wither way, so I assume he must be hedging his bets. I would just come out and oppose it - it seems like he's not going to alienate Dems to the point where they won't vote for him, so it's a win-win for him.

Do you support court packing even if it comes from Trump? I think we should have an amendment solidifying SCOTUS at nine justices. Packing will almost certainly backfire on either party.

Romney/Bush Republicans

Or

Trump/Cruz Republicans?

If the latter - pack away - because the democrats WILL do this if ever given the chance after “going down 6-3”

No. If they do it, using their words, there will be a constitutional crisis. It will be dark times. An assault on democracy.

No. If the Court gets packed once it will get packed every time one party gains control of the Presidency and Senate.

This makes the Court useless. Might as well disband the Court if you are going to pack it.

All to “no go” plebs need to wake up

The democrats are committed to this now - to them, this is war. And we are still playing by the old rules.

The genie is ALREADY out of the bottle. Y’all are dreaming for a “democracy” that doesn’t really exist anymore

No I actually support an amendment locking it at 9 in perpetuity

Court packing renders the judicial branch a fraud. Every time you change power you gonna add seats?

Gonna have a 30 seat court soon? Then what 50?

Ideally they really should have passed a constitutional amendment to fix it at 9.

No. It is a horrendous idea that would destabilize the government.

No. And all the talk about it is rhetoric. The liberals won’t be able to do it. If they could they probably would but won’t be able to any time soon.

What does it take to accomplish - both houses plus the presidency?

I ask because if possible the Republicans should proceed to add two seats and confirm two more conservative judges now if possible. Can you imagine the outrage on the left if they did.

Biden will not commit to a stance because the Dems fully intend to pack the courts but they don’t want him say it out loud because they know it is a very unpopular stance.

That’s the problem

They play the long game - and throw out all the rules

While the “good guys” keep relying on the facade of the rule of law

We are in a cold civil war and the democrats are acting like it while we are in denial

Are you though? Does this really feel like “the old rules” at this point?

If dems do it than the court is gone. We'll do it when we gain power and around we go. Court of 500 sounds about right.
