It’s my earliest memory.

I was 3 years old, sitting on my parents’ bed, watching it on the old B&W rabbit ears TV set.

Born in 1961. Remember all except JFK, and while I remember Chappaquiddick, I don't remember where I was when I first heard of it.

As far as the moon landing, in the living room watching on the 19" Philco B&W (seems like you had to turn it on and wait 10 minutes for it to warm up).

And with all events listed, I did not understand nor appreciate the magnitude of each until years later.

I wasn't born yet (1988--I'll turn 31 later this month).

Jealous y'all got to see that moment live. When it comes to film/stories, anything with outer space as the subject matter has my rapt attention. Can't get enough.

What if he doesn't identify as old?

What if he identifies as a 15 yr old girl??

Why are you not ashamed of yourself?

Of course you didn’t. A bigot never thinks they are the intolerant one.

I was at home for the summer working a summer job while in college. I watched it with my family. Incredible. Can’t believe it’s been 50 years. Such a proud moment.

The 60s decade was a wild ride. Lots of ups and downs. Loved all the NASA stuff. Still do.

it was you slinging bigoted insults. Life is going to be really hard if you don’t toughen up a bit. Don’t be satisfied to just spew ignorance with such hubris. I still have hope for you!

1969 was quite a year. Best music year ever, I was 16-17 that year and when we landed on the moon I was in Paris, France on a group study tour with other high school kids from Baton Rouge and Zachary.

The moon landing was at like 2-3 am and the headlines the next day in France read FRANCE AND THE UNITED STATES CONQUER THE MOON.

I loved Joe Cocker and girls. It was some year.

JFK was a shock. I was 9 almost 10 and home from school that day for some reason. My mother couldn’t stop crying. RFK and MLK I remember but not as vividly. By that time it was almost like nothing shocked anybody anymore. Vietnam was a mess and I hated the anti war crowd. I felt like Nixon would fix the problem. He did.

911 was a shock and I remember it was a Tuesday and I was on the way to a Chamber of Commerce Board meeting. I was running a little late and broke the news to the others at the meeting. 911 changed our country almost as much as the JFK assignation and Vietnam. Just my recollections and opinions. Oh, and I never like Walter Cronkite. He was the original “fake news” anchor.

I was in Houston, at my aunt's house for the moon landing. I was 9 years old. Had a little telescope on the back patio that I kept going out to look through at intervals during the broadcast to see If I could pick out the LEM.

I wasn't yet 1 yr old, don't remember it.

I do have some recollections of a later mission splashdown and recovery... a few vague memories of the house we lived in at the time. We moved in 72, I think.

Also remember watching Lost in Space, and riding a Big Wheel at that place!
