Do you guys really dislike top tier Republicans, if so why?

Ben Shapiro and Ted Cruz are very levelheaded and conservative leaning politicians. They both have ethics that this country desperately needs. Same can be said for Rand Paul.
How come you guys only care about Rush Limbaugh, Alex Jones, and Trump?
Whether you want to believe in major demographic shifts or not, as a party the GOP would be better off focusing on financial conservatism. Families are becoming less nuclear and more tolerant by the decade.

Few here are monolithic in that anyone with an R beside their name is OMGfrickINGAWESOMEBALLZ!111 With that, you'll find quite a few posters here that agree with Cruz, Shapiro and Paul on certain subjects while disagreeing with them on others. That's as it should be because no one single political figure (including talking heads) is going to be exactly right on every issue.

There are a few Rush listeners here, but not many post about his show (especially when compared to how many post about Morning Joe, for example). Alex is a fricking loon. When he's right about something it's the literal interpretation of the blind hog finding an acorn, except that it's wearing a tinfoil hat.
Trump is President and he's doing a stellar job of creating a roaring economy. Any President will be a primary topic of conversation during their Presidency and comments here will range from positive to negative based largely on the poster's political leanings.

I personally agree and that's one of the main reasons I voted for and continue to support Trump. He's stayed farther away from LGBT, abortion and race-related* issues than at least the past 3 Presidents. His primary focus has been on making the US economy strong and vibrant (you could even consider North Korea to be an extension of that).
*I don't consider the illegal immigration issue to be race-related. The closest I consider it to race is that there's a component -due to the vast quantity of illegals that have and are still trying to come in- that creates a subjugation of host culture because of their unwillingness to assimilate.

This. We need term limits for all elected officials, and no more lifetime benefits/pension for any of them. When it's up, that's it. No more public office no more gravy train.
Go back to your other job you had before riding on tax payer dollars. Our founding fathers never (IMO) imagined or intended for public servants to be a profession. The Pelosis, Reids, McCains, etc. need to go the frick away.
ETA: And they should no longer be exempt from any law they pass. Ever. Period. End of discussion. If the law they pass is good enough for Joe the plumber, it's good enough for you too Senators and Representatives.

Trump was a necessary moderate on the path to a true conservative taking the white house. I'm thinking after 8 years of MAGA'ing and putting more and more conservatives in the house and senate, the nation will be ready for a true conservative like Cruz or Rand Paul. Trump spitting in the face of PC culture and totally ignoring the sjw brand of progressivism will help in the future for conservatives imo.
