20 years ago you could get Big Macs 2/$2 which, while a special price, was always available when the QPC was not that special price. At $6.25/h, you could buy 6 1/4 BM/QPC for one hour of work.
Now that min. wage is $15, BM/QPC are about $4.50 each, so they can buy 3 1/3 for one hour of work. Wages multiply by about 2.5, buying power divides by about 2.
