I think there’s truth in your statement. The RNC doesn’t seem to be supporting MAGA candidates. I can see the GOPE setting the narrative, should these candidates lose, it’s Trump’s fault. “If you had only voted for us. We told you Trump’s star is fading.”

I believe Steve Miller said it’s because Mitch is trying to protect his position as leader and only helping those he is hand picking.
