They should go listen to DMX song Where The Hood At. Their heads will explode when he starts talking about he "shows no love to homo thugs" and goes on to imply he's gonna unload his gun into them because he can't understand how a man would have sex with a man.

Was in middle/high school during the 90s, and DMX was pretty popular. As well as jincos, which I think we all should forget both.

Yeah, I guess to each their own. I played basketball so I was in the "urban" scene if you will. In a big suburb as well.

Up in here, up in here. DMX's debut was the first album I ever bought. Yeah, there are plenty of stereotypical rap references on his albums, but there are also a lot of philosophical gems that set him apart. Checkout "Slippin" from his second album - outstanding song about keeping your head up when times get tough. He also usually had one sermon like track on his albums that could convert the hardest of the hard.

You may not have heard of DMX if you never listened to rap but he was pretty popular in the 90s and 00s. Up in here was a huge hit. I remember my mom cracking me up singing that one. He was on the Chappelle show. He was not on the level of Dr. Dre and Eminem but was probably just below them as far as popularity.

I heard DMX use the N word on multiple occasions. He was dead to me from that point on.

The CDC should declare this a national health crisis or something.
