Honestly the best chance of a civilian firearm taking one down at that range would be a Barret .50 cal rifle with anti armor rounds.

Catch one hovering still close enough and you’d have a shot

What you need is those Texas baws who shoot hogs out of helicopters. Get up closer and pew pew pew

I mean might one use a Barrett M82A2? How about something in 338 Lapua or 452 Barrett or 6 ARC or etc., etc., etc.? It would be a lucky shot. 10 gauge or 8 gauge 4" magnums with 40" pipes firing teathered 00 buck? I dunno, maybe, if they were close enough.

Wow ... lol.

I know I was in NJ most of last week and I saw the drones and they're not gonna be downed by single shots from anything any civilian has ... and I've got a couple of big bore 1000 meter bench rifles. They are too zippy and constantly moving and they are too far away. Even if someone could dope the windage and elevation in those strong ocean winds (and they were really blowing those craft around last week so they'd play hell on any projectile sent at the) ... no one is going to pick one out of the sky.

I know I spent a lot of years at Bragg in combat arms.

I know that I smithy as a hobby and handload like a surgeon.

I know that I RSO for every major competition in this state.

And I know that you absolutely must be full of shite.

Oh, and I know that it should have been 416 Barrett ... big thumbs, old brain, and all that.

why doesn’t anyone with a decent drone send one up and see how close they can get to these drones?

I don’t know if regular civilian type of rifles or weapons can reach the distance that the drones are flying at???

Would have to be some military grade type of rounds etc… but it’s a total guess without knowing the estimated distance.

With all the DRONE NERDS in the country, i am super surprised nobody has flown one up and video’d from a closer distance?

seems like that would cause for some actions or reactions by the dronesZ

would see if they are skirmish or don’t want to get close.

would see if it they are possibly combative

would see if they fly away and stay away etc

SOMEONE DO THIS PLEASE & LIVESTREAM

THEY COULD GAIN INSTANT FAME, be the next Instawhore or Cyber OnlyFans a millionaire , lol
