One of the best self owns out of many is how Congress wouldn’t give Trump a paltry $8 billion for the wall in 2017, but then after trying to throw him in jail and murder him he comes back and gets $50 billion to lock down the border.
And even the TDS'rs on here have to admit to this.
Hate him all you want. He is getting shite done no one else could do.

CPI is within the long term average annual YOY change at 2.8%. You could argue that tariffs have made things more expensive, but you’d also have to identify other factors that have offset that price growth.
The current argument is: just wait!!! It’s coming!! But that’s been the threat for months, so forgive my doubt. As long as big tariff schemes result in solid, equitable trade deals, which has been the pattern, what’s the issue? We were getting raped, and we should all agree that those deals couldn’t continue.

If you ignore who pays tariffs.
Who would pay if Biden raised corporate tax rate? You think the companies would happily eat that increased expense, or would they increase the cost of their goods and services to offset the increased tax liabilty?

When Canada was slapping triple digit tariffs on agricultural goods imported into the US, were the Canadian people paying that tax? Of course not.
Similarly, Brazil doesn’t charge a 55% tariff on agricultural goods to punish their own people.
It’s a “convenient” misrepresentation of how tariffs work.

quote:So schumer said we didn't have 8 billion for the wall back in 2017-18, then went on to let in 20MILLION illegals. Assuming the illegals each got $10K in financial support/benefits paid for by the American Tax Payer (I believe is it much much higher) that comes to $200 Billion that wouldn't have needed to be paid had the wall been built. That is 192 Billion in abuse that you likely weren't worried about.
but if you dont think that type of increase is bad and riddled with abuse, then you're not paying attention

If we taxed remittances south of the border at 75% a lot of the illegals would go back.
