On some older Disney shows you now get a trigger warning, "This program is presented as originally created. It may contain outdated cultural depictions."

So, I watch an old Mickey Mouse cartoon, Pluto's Christmas Tree.

I'm watching and watching and I see nothing until the very end when all the characters sing, "Deck the Halls' and there's this one trigger line:

quote:

Don we now our gay apparel
Are you kidding me? Jesus.

Disney needs to release Song of the South! It looks like a fun movie. Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah!

Saw this as a re-release in theaters as a kid. I loved it.

Good movie. The animated sequences are the best.

It’s funny - as much as they pretend that movie doesn’t exist, they sure play that song all the time.

Peter Pan will trigger many. "What makes the red man red?"

Remember the "Thooooomasssss!" cartoons and all you saw were big black bare feet or the back of someone's head wearing a red bandana on Tom & Jerry?

Yikes.

Plenty of those where Tom, Jerry, or someone else is wearing blackface singing “Momma’s Little Baby Loves Shortening Bread”.

It's no worse than the recent political movie that came out in the last year or 2 which stated....."Historical smoking".....oh my god, the horror..

much of our society is structured around keeping people infantilized as long as possible.

that's why Disney+ is being pushed upon us by the elites. trust me on this

liberals don't want us "adulting" (God, I cringe at that word) at 30 or to Retire at 55.

they want us to spend as little time as possible being a net contributor to a stable, productive society.

I'm uncomfortable with how much trigger sounds like ...

Surprised the left hasn't been triggered by it.

Aren't there some they won't play any more like Song of the South, Uncle Remus stuff?

We had a really old substitute teacher lady in elementary school that used to read Brer Rabbit and The Tar Baby every time she came, if we were good.

Would have loved to have been in on the roundtable to come up with this tag line. Wonder what other variations they came up with

While "is" may be a bit strong, they certainly do serve the same function for ol' Lucifer that Goebels did for Hitler.

I just learned yesterday about some of the deleted scenes from the original Fantasia.

I went into it thinking “it can’t be THAT bad” after watching the scenes it was THAT bad lol
