It is almost like we are beginning to suffer the consequences of a couple hundred years of gross mismanagement of natural resources and ecosystems, but it is easier to just blindly point at a perceived evil genius and heap all the blame upon him. Undoing our own mess is way too difficult and would force all of us into a personal reckoning and accounting that we aren't ready for.

Are ya trying to say these Gumps that "own" the companies that allowed them to makes hundreds of billions of dollars might work for or with the government?

One head, just one. Nevermind the dozen or so other companies/institutions — just in the US — that do the same exact research and the hundreds of people who work for them. Just one head in particular needs to roll.

Sounds like a good idea if you could keep them from flying off. We're not exactly city slickers and it wouldn't be easy to put the necessary garden netting over a large garden that needs almost daily attending.
