Did you know the ACLU filed a lawsuit arguing to lower the burden of proof

against those accused of sexual misconduct by colleges
your modern ACLU, folks
i understand their argument, but their argument should be to raise the burden of proof in those cases to match clear/convincing. or hell, they should be arguing it should be the same standard as criminal settings. no level of sophistry will eliminate the fact that they are arguing that the state should lower the burden of proof the state requires to take negative actions against an accused person.
i wonder if they would draw the line at a presumption of innocence as well?

So a group formed to ensure people are bestowed their civil liberties wants to....reduce their access to liberty and due process

ACLU is lost. It was co-opted by the SJW crowd and doesn't even pretend to be for civil liberties at this point.

Charlottesville killed it. in a week they went from doing what they had historically done and argued/won for the protester's right to march to publicly stating they will engage in thought policing before protecting civil rights

The starting point for fixing this has to be placing the same penalties on a false accuser as they were looking to inflict on their victims.

You need beyond a reasonable doubt to get a conviction for a sex crime
You need preponderance of the evidence to win a civil lawsuit arising from a sexual encounter
You should have to meet something more than that for the full weight of a university to be brought against you that could result in your expulsion and the ruination of your life.

Some people lie.
I feel for the women who are legit raped or harassed...but there are also women who fabricate rape accusations and ruin the lives of innocent men.
There have been so many innocent men imprisoned just because a woman lied and claimed they were raped. The conniving, scheming bitches who lie about being raped have basically tainted everything....making it hard to believe any rape accusation
In college, a guy can have their future destroyed..if they happen upon a woman who thinks it's funny to lie about rape. Because a lot of colleges automatically punish the guy without even investigating.

To add on.. I think that women who are found guilty of lying about rape...should be imprisoned for a minimum of 10 years.
