As a lawyer I can promise you that shite right there was written by a lawyer, haha. If it takes you two days and two paragraphs to say something that should have taken ten seconds and "Sorry, we F'd up." then you know your communications team isn't doing well.

Sorry Yeti...this isn't helping your cause.

Don’t know about NRA relationship, but they stated several times that:
Guns were good. Sounds like they want to secure their 2nd Amendment customer base and flipped off the gun control lobby. Must have experienced a NRA backlash of significant proportions.

The truth always comes out. These corporate donors should probably think twice before getting in bed with the NRA, because there’s no way to ever leave without the NRA inciting a mob.

They were catching tons of heat on social media. I have yet to see where YETI said anything like what the NRA said they said.

Ok where is the proof of this supposed slap in the face and cutting ties with the NRA.

I think the real story is that Yeti is not doing as well financially as they used to and are cutting cost. This may mean ending some of the discounts or stopping donations.

YETI made no anti 2A statements. None. The NRA is just acting like an angry beggar here

When the left boycotts something = the free market at work.

But let the right boycott something: “OMG, mob mentality.”

I don't know what their finances are, but what I read was they stopped participating in this particular discount program. I have to call and tell people all the time that we won't be renewing a contract. It is never anything personal, it is always an internal business decision based on cost:benefit.

I don't have a dog in the fight, but the backlash felt very angry mob like based on a one-sided statement.

Curious timing for them to finally implement these “outdated” discount program changes, right of the heels of dick’s sporting goods, various banks, and other businesses virtue signaling. Could it be that they are based in a gay city and likely have soy boys in management, and are now walking back a terrible decision they made in an echo chamber to save their bottom line?

Even if that's the case they should have realized people are extremely sensitive to this right now so maybe it wasn't the best time to start restructuring these discounts

We hold golf tournaments and participate as sponsors in other golf tournaments and sporting clay events. About half the time we do Yeti coolers for team prizes.

A few days ago I sent Yeti an email and told them not only was I not purchasing any more Yeti product but that our company will no longer purchase Yeti products for events we are involved with. When you contact Yeti you have to provide phone number, address, etc... which I gladly did.

They can take their coolers and their stickers and frick off.

I think my impression of a mob mentality was that Yeti never made any sort of statement. One vendor claimed they stopped doing business for xyz reasons and everyone just piled on.

Tone deafness from a company that sells $300 ice chests. Who could’ve predicted that?
