Watching Styx this morning and apparently the legacy media are walking back their initial claims about these Covington Catholic kids. That includes CNN, MSNBC, NBC and even Fox News.

(Note: I have not followed this story closely so sorry in advanced if I come off a little ignorant on the matter.)

Apparently the Covington kids just received pro bo no representation from a high powered law firm. The media stepped way out of bounds especially in terms of doxxing these kids. Law firms just don’t jump on cases like this pro bo no if they know a good case is not there. The legacy media walking this back is also a clear indication that the legal departments at these media companies are telling these hacks you are fricked.

Apparently you don’t doxx kids.

And should investigate the situation before reporting it as news......

As I said in another thread, all it will take is one of these cases hit against these hollywood and media hounds, then once their bank account empties paying the victims... this shite will dial down alot.

Hopefully they go after a bunch of those blue check marks on Twitter that also doxed them and either made direct threats or called for others to harass/intimidate the kids and their families.

Saw a story this morning where someone doxed the wrong kid (student at the same school) and now his whole family is receiving threats and the family business has been slandered online. And that kid wasnt even on the trip to DC

If we want to keep our republic we absolutely do not.

I hope they sue them bastards into bankruptcy and then there should be criminal charges. They potentially put those minors and their families lives at risk.

The narrative in this case was both false and appalling. Two groups of racist adults verbally accosting adolescent bystanders, and the media carries water for the adults. Yes, I'd hope there is hell to pay.

I watched the CBS and NBC national morning news about this and while they showed some of the real video they only half arse walked it back.

Their high school that had a statement condemning the kids and threatening expulsion as late as 6am has now taken down their website.

Haven't followed this story close at all and was wondering why CBS morning news dedicated a 5min spot to giving both sides of the video.

They must be concerned about recourse.

Styxx in the video I linked in the OP said he wouldn't be surprised if Vox and Salon will go bankrupt.

This is what their own school had to say about the matter.

quote:

We condemn the actions of the Covington Catholic High School students towards Nathan Phillips specifically, and Native Americans in general, Jan. 18, after the March for Life, in Washington, D.C. We extend our deepest apologies to Mr. Phillips. This behavior is opposed to the Church’s teachings on the dignity and respect of the human person. The matter is being investigated and we will take appropriate action, up to and including expulsion. We know this incident also has tainted the entire witness of the March for Life and express our most sincere apologies to all those who attended the March and all those who support the pro-life movement.

The media will never stop reporting on news as it happens. Jumping to conclusions is what the viewers are doing.

The media is becoming the news more often than simply interpreting it and reporting it, and this is one of the biggest problems in our country.

I watch my local news for weather, traffic, and local interest. I couldn’t give a single shite about what these giant overpaid egos present 24/7 as “news.” They’re a joke.

So you are blaming the viewers for the media's libelist ways?
