I care mostly because I want my kids to stop being required to wear masks at school and employers to stop requiring them in offices.

Thankfully, my kids' school has backed way off on masks. Almost to the point that no one wears them any more.
As far as employers, you will probably see a lot of companies still require them in the office, even after he drops the mandate. I've never had a problem with individual businesses having policies on masks, even if I think masks are pointless. I just think its government overreach to mandate it to everyone.
JBE won't drop it though.

Is that still even a thing? I haven’t worn a mask in Baton Rouge or Lafayette in weeks. And judging by the people I see neither have a bunch of other people

I was told twice to put on a maak yesterday. Once in a building lobby in orleans and once in a jefferson parish grocery store.
