Did Bill Maher have to apologize THAT much?
He completely let himself be schooled by the progressive apologist Dyson on Friday. He was emasculated for the cause. Maher tried. Tried to wiggle out of it after he realized he fricked up and allowed this too much leash...he started with we are the "comedians", trained monkeys thing...
When a comedian relies on being a comedian talking point, he's out of material to say and is grasping at straws for some cover.
It honestly was the first time I saw Maher not putting up some kind of counterpoint. He created this monster, he finally let it eat him alive, willingly.

there are def some people who need to be educated. a mirror could reveal one of them to you.
Slavery has literally happened in this world for thousands of years. Black people act like white Europeans created this shite and targeted them specifically.
Actually no. They should be mad at the Arab Slave Trade if they want to be specific. Most of the slaves brought here were resold by their fellow Africans.
Arabs were known for enslaving all races, including many white Europeans. It became such a huge deal after the Crusades that they'd regularly raid eastern European villages

let me just stop you right there and point out that slavery throughout history has nothing do with slavery in the united states and its impact on citizens of both races today

You're right. Black folks could be sitting in Botswana sweating their arse off right now in a tee pee hut with some guy named Flying Eagle, but they aren't.
This victimhood shite for something that happened 150 years ago is absurd. Jim Crow was terrible but it's been over 50 years, two generations at least.
The only reason any of this shite gets any everyday play is because the United States is the richest country in the world and likes to allow itself to beat itself into its own submission. Every other country, same shite different day.

but they aren't, they're in american, and for some crazy reason poverty, crime, etc... is an epidemic in their community, and posters such as yourself would rather blame them for these problems rather than addressing the institutional prejudices that have existed in our government for centuries that holds them back collectively vs white people.

You're asking me to believe that something is holding them back in today's world from helping them succeed? No, not in America today or today's government who literally gives 0% home loans to low qualified and low income buyers. We are talking almost 0%
Ignorance is their biggest problem. Their community by and large is ignorant. Black folks are smart, but they don't allow 1) free expression of thought, 2) independence of the community 3) The urban culture which they acclimate to isn't something that most successful folks identify with.

at a certain point, they have to take personal responsibility for their choices
when will this be expected? 10 years? 100 years? 150 years?

when we start addressing said institutional racism in way that will actually positively affect their communities, things will probably start getting better.

Why do you continue to box black folks in? Why are you trying to make excuses for them? But please. Continue about what this institutional racism is. Give me some examples.

the people who "box [them] in" are the people who vote for politicians that slice welfare spending and cut taxes to millionaires.

So at what stage in someone's life, regardless of color, etc, etc, etc, should a GROWN frickING PERSON not give 2 shits about some a-hole calling them a name?
