I don't see how it's ok to call the POTUS a cock sucker.

That final zinger - when libs reach peak melt, their last resort as an insult is almost always a string of overtly gay vulgarities.
And isn't that the worst thing (to a liberal) a person could do is to make gay jokes?
I, truthfully, have no problems with gay lifestyles at all. I do however find it a little crazy to think that a freaking national talk show dude can spout of anti gay rhetoric like that and it's all good simply because he's insulting the Pres with it. It's just so backwards for a lib.

yet, here you are on the PT board where all we talk about is Trump...
a political talk board talking about the president?
who would have guessed?

when it's just angry and people can see that your arse is red
it's not a bit, it's a melt.
and late night is a variety show so anger doesn't suit the platform really well.

I don't know, these days nothing appears to be "out of bounds" for unhinged opponents of Trump. As long as you are attacking Trump, I am sure that just about anything short of an overt death threat is good in serving to galvanize opponents of Trump.

can you imagine sitting in the audience and you came to laugh and be entertained and then watch this guy throw a temper tantrum and call it a monologue?
and the irony of it all is that trump is the best thing to ever happen to Colbert. NBC's 12:30 was beating him and now he's number 1.

actually, it will cost a fortune, based on the released list of health issues and the penalty you would pay if you had one of them.
This is why it's not funny
It's a bunch of leftists looking at news sources telling them what to believe
They get really angry, talk about how they can use their art to #Resist
So the starting premise isn't something with any inherent humor, it's "let's spread a political message and try and wrap it in comedy."
And the end product is fricking awful

Funniest part is colbert unmasking his inner homophobia.

POTUS or not, I would call that moron out and dare him to say it to my face.
Colbert would have the distinction of getting his teeth knocked out on National TV by a sitting President. He should be fired immediately for that.

I don't care at all that Colbert "disrespected" POTUS.
I do care that he's using juvenile name calling as a substitute for wit, and that he won't be punished for this. To be clear, I don't want him punished in the sense of "you shouldn't say cock." I want him punished on the basis of "you're a comedian and you're not doing your job because you stupidly believe your unfunny political opinions have value."

You think so? Try that with Obama and they'd have you up for impeachment.

That melt is so embarrassing, it's up there with Trevor Noah's cringe-inducing tirade from right before the election:

It's a relatively free country and I support free enterprise.
I just hate to see entertainment squandered for cheap politics. The same is true either regard to TV, movies and music. You can be Bob Dylan as a song writer, but if your starting point for a song is some thin and dull talking point you got from reading Mother Jones, your art is going to suck.

Of course I didn't watch that despicable idiot Stephen Colbert.
