LINK

Line No. 001; potassium iodide tablet, 65mg, unit dose package of 20s; 700,000 packages (of 20s)

(v) Delivery is required on or before February 1, 2014. Delivery will be made to: DHHS, SSC, Bldg #5 Receiving Dock, PErry Point,MD 21902

KI tablets are taken to protect the thyroid in case of radiation release.

DHHS can plan ahead effectively for a large radiation release in the USA, but they can't prepare a website with years of advanced notice??

Because it is a simple expectorant?

Because they just ordered it instead of making it?

Who do you think those 700,000 doses are intended for? How will they be distributed around the United States? That amount is sufficient for less than 0.2% of the population.

The elites of course. Rex and Toddy (and a few other resident liberals) will find out quickly that they aren't as important to the liberal cause as their egos tell them.

Going to need to know a few things before I whip out my tinfoil hat.

1. How much KI does the government historically keep in stock?

2. What is the shelf lifer of KI? They could just be replacing existing stocks.

3. Is Bldg #5 Receiving Dock, PErry Point,MD 21902 the only place where it is normally stored.

I think this is much ado about nothing. I for one hope the government has at least some stores of radiation meds ready to go in case of some kind of nuclear attack. Protecting the homeland and it's citizens from attack is actually one of it's jobs.

The only thing I would add is that government (and politicians) are good at making their buddies rich.

Who says they give two craps? When Uncle Sam procures something it is always searchable somewhere nowadays. They don't care. They are God like and can do what they want. Let's say they order more guns and ammo, it will be searchable through this agency and that agency that procures that agency. The beast is so large it can't be hidden.
