they don't do anything that an auto zone, NAPA or pep boy's except the don't offer service and brick and motar buildings.

I mainly posted it because you guys seem to have in your heads there is no real-world impact to whatever Trump's retarded plan is. A thriving company with 500 employees is going to be ground to dust because of government intervention in markets.

There is a lot missing from this story. They were more likely using cheap Chinese parts to increase profit margins, and this is a result of that decision.

First, I am anti-tariff. Yet I find it difficult to believe that a company would fold in 3 months after the tariffs were imposed.
Yes I could see tariffs dramatically affecting his business, but I seriously doubt it would cause imminent collapse in just 3 months.

So it's the "loop hole" removal of the de minimis that is hurting him. Just like Temu was exploiting the $800 or less not included in the existing tariffs.
