Americans have been conditioned to believe there is no objective truth.

I am all Trump this cycle, but Desantis is right, here. You can get mad all you want, and yes, it isn’t smart to talk sbout truth in these time, especially on race issues, that the left has weaponized to divide us all…. But, one can argue that in those times, the family units kept them strong, now that the family units have been trashed, and big daddy Government has replaced it all, you have Chicago…..

You’re so desperate to push trump you’re allying with the fricking SJWs.
You’ll be in histrionics the next time Trump is called a racist by the MSM.
The article is quoting a singular sentence without ANY notion of context of the accompanying discussion.
That’s a tactic embraced by leftists but have at it hoss.

A little gem from the idiot veep bitch:
As Biden’s running mate, Vice President Harris has stepped up her attack-dog role, and on Friday traveled to Jacksonville to assail DeSantis’s policies in his home state. She emphasized that slavery involved rape, torture and “some of the worst examples of depriving people of humanity in our world.”
She failed to mention that it was blacks that threw down first on their black brethren.

I’m not naive and i have no expectations of those who lack critical thinking skills. Just presenting accurate commentary.
Next step would be to point out that for some reason there is no mass out migration back to the continent of Africa. But boy oh boy do we have a large number of African immigrants to the USA.
All that to say, I think America’s doing something right.

She is right. And it’s the natural end of assigning characteristics and qualities to a race. Like her and her ilk are currently doing with “whiteness.”

You guys just can't wait to surrender completely on culture wars and throw away history and facts.
He commissioned a group of scholars, all Black scholars, to revise the Black history curriculum. Part of that was emphasizing how former slaves succeeded and overcame the obstacles they faced. Many of them utilized the skills they learned as a slave to do so. It's about focusing on how Blacks can succeed and positive stories instead of crap like the 1619 Project that just makes crap up and tells Black kids they are perpetual victims who can never succeed and all White people are evil.
There is nothing in the messaging that slavery was "good" at all, it's about how Blacks overcame. DeSantis doesn't back down. He sticks to the truth and what is right. He also can make that argument in a coherent manner and has very smart people to back him up.
Hey but if you can get some smack talk points and join in with the MSM again to tear down someone trying to tell the truth none of that matters.

They’ve created a “Dumb DeSantis” character in their head and whenever they see something that they think matches up with the character in their head, they run here to post it.
But they couldn’t understand the media doing that to Trump.

All of this is right.
And it’s a losing argument.
Die on it if you wish.

Meh looks like he was talking about what the books and material in the new curriculum they were using in Florida would discuss. Kind of sounds like the books we used to have in school. “Slavery was bad but some people took a bad thing and used it to help make a life for themselves after slavery and this is one of those people’s stories.” The Post is blowing something up bigger than it is for clicks, leaches are latching on to it to comment to get their names floating out there for attention, and it’s getting posted and spread on political boards by fans of other politicians who have taken the bait hook, line, and sinker and WaPo thanks them for their service. In other words it’s just another day per the usual in campaign season.

He ain't wrong.
Education, or lack of it, is used to destroy us.
Google, "Black Slave owners in America".
It should be required reading for our School.

They were helped all around, perhaps against their will. Their quality of life improved considerably in most cases. Doesn’t justify it, more evil is done in present days and swept under the rug. It still seems dumb to talk about. Why not go heavy on present day evils, starting with Epstein and political corruption?
Oh, so you think the WaPo is letting him decide what narrative they want to emphasize and the issues that are important they will publish? lol

Black Americans should be forever grateful that their ancestors endured slavery. Created freedom for them.

Unfortunately, this is how it ends up.
It was done to Trump, it will be done to DeSantis, and it will be done to the next Republican that comes along after them.

Oh, WaPo is dishonest AF. This is just long line of GOP hit pieces to keep the blacks on the Dem plantation.
Now CNN and MSNBC have content to set up panels of civil rights activists to parse this comment into a billion different hypotheticals. Lol
He should have said, “we have the best blacks folks. They have the lowest unemployment of all the demographics. We are polling great with the blacks.”

“They’re probably going to show that some of the folks that eventually parlayed, you know, being a blacksmith into doing things later in life,” DeSantis said on Friday in response to reporters’ questions while standing in front of a nearly all-White crowd of supporters.

Great. I encourage DeSantis to run with these facts.
Let’s see how that works out for him.
