In general I agree with the sentiment. I have no doubt our side will whoop them badly if it ever escalated to that. However, the only thing that gives me reason to question that is when I ask why would they be so bold? We’re talking about a political party that is the equivalent of pack animals. They attack when they have numbers or know their target is weak.
Could they have convinced themselves that military brass is actually on their side and ultimately that could keep the military out of direct action other than martial law? Or perhaps they feel that the military would be on their side due to orders given by the commanders?
To be clear, I don’t believe the rank and file would do this. But I’ve seen and heard enough generals that are political in nature that would do what they can to support Biden just from the Obama era alone. We’ve also seen the individuals that turned on Trump that were from the military. So it’s a possibility in my mind.

This isn’t how it would be done.
They would have facial recognition scanners in place and use cell phone location data to get a database of who attended. Maybe even set up parking lots and scan license plates.
Your name would go on something like the “No fly” list and you’d be flagged in all kinds of systems. Forget flying. Good luck easily getting a driver’s license. Applying for a loan? Ha ha! Yeah, okay. Hassled at a polling station when you try to vote. Targeted for a tax audit every year etc etc etc etc.
