Terrified of what? They control the legislature and the executive. A senate that's been broken over the past decade by Schumer and McConnell. They got an unchecked two years now.

I'm not so sure about that. Completely unarmed people took the Capitol building by force. Had they been armed, and had they intended to hurt people, we'd have a completely new government today.
