Why would they go through all that when Wikileaks could just unilaterally release them?

Yes, I know full well about this conspiracy theory. Still waiting on proof.

And yes, the political will is out there, too.

Oh, I know that. But only partially for the Muh Russians conspiracy theory and mostly for orange-man-bad reasons.

back channels are for plausible deniability.

Could? Wilileaks did release them.

And "all that" does not equal Bannon saying to Roger, "let us know when the next DNC dump is coming". It's not very difficult to ask the question.

Everyone at the time was trying to get an inside scoop and Roger Stone was crowing on Infowars at the time that he had a connection to Assange, of course to drum up listenership to the Alex Jones Show.

Oh, you mean like Russian GRU---->Glenn Simpson/Fusion GPS -----> Perkins Coie ------> Hillary

Like those kind of back channels?

The problem with the "back channels" described in the indictment the Wikileaks/Russia connection has never been proven. In fact there is A Lot of evidence to the contrary that it was an inside job.

there are articles alleging the Kennedy assassination was inside job too. Doesn't mean they're worth believing.

I really don't know.

True. Kennedy and Muh Russia are two separate events in two separate political times. I mean if you sat down and studied both events you can probably come up with some similarities like they both involved presidents but to try and conflate the two now seems kind of non sequitur-ish.

Plausible deniability of what? WL released them unilaterally and independent of Trump.

Are you suggesting Trump and Assange were working together?

It does equal”all that” when they are coordinating multiple releases.

I think Mueller is investigating to see if they're part of a conspiracy, yes (where under law, not all conspirators need to work directly with all others. It's a "meeting of the minds" + a step towards furtherance of the conspiracy aim).

Well. He's sure not in a hurry!

I mean. Shouldn't they know by now? They only engaged the most sophisticated intelligence apparatus in world history against him starting from BEFORE he was President.

Either he's a fricking genius on an unprecedented scale or, they got FISA warrants with basically nothing.

And, to be blunt. If you are going to start spying on opposition candidates, you should be a LOT fricking closer to closing the deal than almost 3 years out.

Otherwise, if you can't see the obvious problem with spying on political opponents, I can't help you.

This is exactly the kind of nonsense that I've long predicted the Mueller investigation report would reveal. No coherent plot or connections in order to make a case but rather a bunch of circumstantial evidence intended to keep an air of suspicion to fuel impeachment hopes

Agreed. Can everyone just step back and look at what we are discussing? Does anyone actually still believe that Mueller is going to even remotely connect Trump or Fam to this bs? These indictments are completely vindicating Trump if anything. We are being fed so much extreme scenarios from the MSM but the indictments are not even remotely lining up. Surely, even you on the left can admit that this will end with a report and zero charges against Trump or family.

Federal investigations are slow but especially when they're working pyramid-style like they are here. Likewise, special counsel investigations are slow. Mueller is still under the median length for one of these. I wouldn't rule out that they're using parallel construction in the case, though.

It means your claim of me “making things up” is bullshite.

It’s starting to sound like someone got nervous in dealing with Wikileaks. The release of the additional documents never made circulation. Should be interesting to see what impact they have going forward.
