There were three hour lines yesterday to vote early in Ohio. No way in the world would I wait that long to vote early.

It's insane. You're more likely to get COVID in that line than waiting 2 minutes at your local polling place.

Are they opening the ballots yet? What is the basis for rejection at this point?

In general, Democrats are more fearful of COVID than Republicans and would naturally be more likely to vote absentee or early.

So glad you admitted you and the squad are a bunch of betas

There is an exciting conversation going on over there between a funeral home director, a dentist, and a pest control guy.

But because of election rules in some states, that also means Trump could appear to begin with a lead when polls close. Many states prohibit election administrators from opening absentee ballots before the polls close, meaning votes cast on Election Day will be counted and reported first.

I will never understand this line of thinking.

According to that website the return rate by Democrats is actually not that much higher than Republicans right now 7.3% vs 5.5%. Raw numbers are higher than Republicans but the return rate is a lot more predictive of enthusiasm and turnout.

I notice this article devotes a paragraph each to FL, NC, & PA, but strangely doesn’t mention WI, NV, MI & AZ at all. That’s because the vote by mail numbers are favoring trump there.

They will vote at the polls again. no one will be able to prove when they don't. Look for same results last election. Popular vote goes to Biden and Trump wins electorate.

General Election early return numbers

Information comes only from states that disclose party registration numbers of returned absentee ballots.

5.8 million Democrats
2.5 million Republicans
2.2 million others

Requested ballot numbers are closer so it may be Republicans will catch up.

Requests:
23.5 million Democrats
13.2 million Republicans
15.1 million others

This is pretty much in line with the expectations, given the rhetoric.

It would also be interesting to see early voting.
