re: Democrats are going to win, because high gas prices - is the dumbest argument

The price is lower now. Stop being a retard. You think every thing just goes back to normal due to a price drop immediately?
What was the high? How long did it last? What is the 50 year average indexed for inflation? I agree the “war” has been very harmful to China. You mentioned shortages. Where in the US is that occurring?
Also…which of Trump’s policies makes relatively inexpensive oil “expensive” gas.
I can’t get a single one of you four to answer a single very straight forward question.

Also, get your ignorant Money Illusion fixed. It's such a well known cognitive bias in economics it even has name.
Money illusion is a thing. That’s correct. It is about purchasing power. You, ignorantly, ignore the other half of the equation. The magic of compounding interest. I understand those that don’t save won’t enjoy that. Doesn’t mean you get to ignore it. That is moronic.

I’m waiting for you to drop this huge “gotcha” since you are so boisterous about how everything in this country is totally affordable.
Since you are an energy expert, can you let us know why diesel is $6+ a gallon and gas is higher than normal?

Voting for the party that closes refineries and wants higher gas taxes, brings in millions of illegals, and kills millions of livestock will surely make things better.

Whoever the sitting president is gets the credit or the blame for the economy they preside over…
Average U.S. Retail Gas prices are up 53.7% over the beginning of 2026:
January 5, 2026 - $2.925
October 5, 2026 - $4.496

Which Trump policy has made relatively inexpensive oil “expensive” gas?

What gotcha? I asked for which Trump policy makes relatively inexpensive oil turn into “high” gas prices. You can’t seem to articulate that.

My point exactly. You’re giddy we have an ignorant electorate and have no clue if Trumps policies turn cheaper oil into expensive gas. We all knew. You could have just admitted you don’t know and don’t really care. Definition of TDS.

I blame the war. I don’t care if you agree or not. There is no way we see what has transpired in energy since it started.

So many variables to answer such a blanket statement with a yes or no. Generally, I would say yes. I think you just didn’t same thing that Beefense did. You just admitted you have no clue if any of Trumps policies make relatively inexpensive oil into expensive gas. And you don’t care. You are giddy about an ignorant electorate because OMB. Definition of TDS.
I’m glad yall are finally admitting it.

I think a lot of manipulation has been taking place to keep that paper price down and Hormuz is a propaganda war. We will find out after the midterms. I wouldn't be surprised if we wake up one day to shortages or $150.00. But, beyond fighting over those issues, an energy story is being told in:
- Bond markets.
- Crack spreads.
- Reserves drawdowns.
- Threatened and real diesel export restrictions.
- Fertilizer supply and price.
- Price at the pump.
You guys will spin and say it's all lack of refineries and lil Z. But, things didn't start going sideways like this until the Iran conflict.

Ok. So you agree that…
