Ok. WHY are gas prices “high” while oil is not? And how is that Trump’s fault?

Nobody gives a shite.

Good luck trying to gaslight people into believing there was/is no war.

Can you show us where Trump controls the price of oil?

good lord. We are talking about purchasing power and growth in wealth, right? You can’t draw the connection?

You claimed a thing that destroys wealth and a thing that adds to your wealth are the same thing because they both compound.

Cancer also compounds.

You suffer from recency bias and extraordinary ignorance. You can’t refute facts so you give us your feels. Beautiful.

Telling you things are expensive despite you telling me what the price of oil is makes me getting in my feels?
You realize everyone on here can see what the prices of gasoline and groceries are with their own eyes.

With policy.

Who the frick do you guys think you are fooling with this type of spin?

Is it just to feed your own delusions and help with the suspension of belief or something?

You understand higher gas prices usually mean higher prices for anything delivered by a truck huh??
not really true.

The gold standard of a shipped item is a TV. Comes by boat to US, ships by container to storage facility, ships to warehouse where it is picked up up or delivered. They are so much cheaper, every household has multiple ones and people upgrade constantly. Hell, I have 3 perfectly good tvs that are in storage because I bought bigger and better for features and size.

As for food that relies on trucking..

Beef is up because of drought and inventory.
Chicken is cheaper than 2 years ago
Same as eggs.
Milk is the same cost
Pork same cost.

Costs are not really up because of shipping.

Which Trump policy causes cheap oil to become expensive gas? You have yet to give a single specific supporting any of your “arguments.”

I’ll ask you the same thing. I’m willing to learn. Just want some substantiation. All you three have been able to do this entire thread is say “nuh uh!” Which Trump policy has caused relatively inexpensive oil to become “very expensive” gas?

He started a retarded war in the ME that has created energy supply problems. Also, he blames lil Z for refinery/diesel issues, but he was supposed to solve that conflict in 24 hours -- and he needs to rein in his POS head of CIA who is probably undermining him with respect to Ukraine.

We get it. Trump never does anything wrong and if anything goes south it’s not his fault.

I look forward to you keeping that same energy long after this administration

Oil is $88.33. Also…can you describe the most recent battle of this war?

This is my favorite. Z destroys refineries and Trump gets the blame. TDS makes otherwise smart people really dumb sometimes.

That’s not what I said. I asked you a very specific question. One which you cannot answer. I’ve given several stats in this thread and you have replied with your normal prattle.

My work here is done. You have once again proven to be a useful idiot NPC opining with hubris from a place of complete ignorance.

Are you seriously saying that this conflict he started in Iran, did not result in destabilization of the energy market? Really requesting you to be clear here. Not some spin, but a real answer

Oil is at 88.33. Where in the US are we experiencing shortages? I agree it’s been a big issue for China. Is that who you’re worried about? I’m simply asking you people to substantiate our allegations. Can you?

Good luck guy, you're too stupid to waste time on.

Also, get your ignorant Money Illusion fixed. It's such a well known cognitive bias in economics it even has name.

"It's the economy stupid" is a legit argument. High gas prices is not.

I want to save $5 when I fill up, so let's vote in gender reassignment surgery for all, higher taxes and more illegal immigration.

Gas prices are prominently displayed and updated frequently, and filling up on at least a weekly basis is a basic necessity to commute to work, school, buy groceries, etc. so consumers are constantly made aware of fluctuations even if it's not being covered by the media. That level of inundation colors consumer perception when gasoline prices increase, enough that once price increases or decreases 10% or more YoY, we generally see consumer confidence moving in the opposite direction (there are lots of other considerations for CC, so it's not 1:1 nor even 100% of the time, but enough to see a pattern if you know what was going on at those times).

So "it's the economy stupid" cannot be separated from gasoline prices when they are abnormally high nor abnormally low.

The economy and jobs are actually good right now.

A lot of that is smoke and mirrors. Jobs are being created and GDP looks good, but a lot of that is built on continued high deficits (especially GDP with deficit-to-GDP-growth being around $1.43 spent in deficit for every $1 in GDP growth). If Congress were to ever just balance the budget, we would go into a recession. With the level of consumer debt out there (even subtracting mortgages), we would see a snowball effect which would likely lead us into a depression if Unemployment remained high for long enough (and by "long enough" I mean 5-6 months as people began declaring bankruptcy to walk away from their credit card debt, then lost access to debt as a means of covering costs for a few months).

The price is lower now. Stop being a retard. You think every thing just goes back to normal due to a price drop immediately?

that’s what I thought. You cannot name a single policy that makes relatively inexpensive oil “expensive” gas. Thanks for playing.
