It baffles me that someone can be okay with thinking others care or agree with their opinion, but as soon as someone else or a corporation like Delta does something they don’t agree with it’s so terrible and “unMerica.”
It seems, to me, that you are willfully misconstruing what those in this thread are saying. I wholeheartedly believe that Delta should be able to choose who they want to offer discounts to and to even refuse service to those they disagree with politically, morally, socially, or just because they don't like the way a person's face looks. At the same time I am free to disagree with why they are doing something.
Just because I disagree doesn't mean I want to take away their right to conduct their business as they see fit.

As for this Delta thing, as soon as someone blasts them for free flying people, and claiming they’ll never fly them again, Delta gains a flyer to replace them.
That's great and I don't think that anyone here believes that they are going to bring Delta down by not flying with them anymore but at the same time no one is under any sort of obligation to fly with Delta.

I’m not rustled over consumers boycotting a company but just making it aware that boycotts on large corporations don’t matter.
The amount of posts by you in this thread blasting anyone for thinking their opinion matters, while littering this thread with your own opinion btw, kinda makes me think you are in fact rustled.

The people that get triggered by this kind of stuff are likely too poor to be flying anyhow.
Eh. I think it's dumb for Delta to wade themselves into this; and have been a Delta Platinum or Gold Medallion member for 10 years now. But I also realize why they're doing it...they've made a clear effort in the last 5 years to grow in the NYC, Los Angeles, Seattle, and to some extent, South Florida markets.
Just doing what they think will attract more travelers.
I'm actually switching from Delta to Southwest for most of my travel. But not because of this.

Hmmm.. artical exposed Delta as hypocrites.. in sentence
Free (discounted) flights for an anti gun political event... but they cease NRA discounts as a way to remain nuetral on gun control issues..

Not much of a neutral action they just took.

Will conservatives shut down Delta like they did the NFL?

I hope that they go bankrupt.

I will no longer fly Delta because of this.
I am a small customer for them, but I won’t give them any of my money.

The hypocrisy of their claimed “neutrality” on the gun issue is apparent......putting kids with Hogg’s beliefs on one of their planes for free is not remaining neutral.

Add more Tax to these bastards. No Delta for me.

Wait is the left claiming victory on the NFL kneeling debacle?
The delusion is real.

They already went bankrupt. Flushed their shareholders down the toilet once and look to be doing the same thing again.

Delta said the donation is “part of our commitment to supporting the communities we serve.”

No political points or virtue signals to be had.
