Her death was on her. She was a prog liberal that showed up to "fight" and got killed. Was the killer justified. Absolutely not. He used a horrible way to vent his hate/ frustration.
But let's not ignore why she was there and who she was with unlike the innocent street shoppers and tourist in Barcelona.

I'm not blaming her for her death, but she certainly threw her life a way over a statue. She's a goddamn idiot for being there in the first place, as are the guys on the other side. Two sides to the same coin. A bunch of idiots determined to die for a statue. If everyone on both sides had killed each other I wouldn't regret it for a second.

As a marine, you certainly have been willing to die for symbols.
And while we will never know, fairly certain she didn't show up that day ready to lay down her life over that statue.
Some a-hole jumped into his car and decided to go ISIS on that crowd.
