Trump had wayyyyyy more votes than Biden but it didn’t matter, did it?

Oh you mean a completely separate election?

Seems like you’re one of the idiots who gave Ossof and Warnock a Senate seat.

Except that it literally was not. Pointing to a separate election does not make your point.

Agree that those in GA who don;t for crazy Leftists caused the chaos we are seeing. But, let's don't get confused between Always Trumpers and Conservatives. Trump was never a Conservative. Conservatives don't support blowing up the national debt, which both of the major parties have been doing..

Not to mention Purdue and Loeffler were two of the worst candidates

This is clue #1 that you dont know what the hell you're talking about. Perdue came in as an outsider before Trump and he was one of the earliest senators to support Trump. Loeffler was definiteley a less effective candidate but worlds better than Warnock and she is doing great work now with her voter registration efforts.

You thought Republican's were going to win GA after the steal? After they got rid of Doug Collins?

Yes, because they were. Perdue was only a few thousand votes from winning outright in the primary anyway.

Losing 250,000 GOP votes sunk both senate elections. All that had to happen to win both seats is for the people who voted the first time to do so again. That’s it.

The democratic candidates list votes too, for the runoff. That means there was even more leeway for some idiots not to vote in the runoff. But nah, they had to be so pissed about POTUS that they took their ball and went home.

Boy they really showed the election officials didn’t they? I mean they really really did. /s

It is not rational. By not voting you are absolutely unequivocally guaranteeing your vote will not count.
Of course it's rational. Again, it may be misinformed, but it's a rational/logical response.

What is that quote? Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results? If someone believes that their actions will not achieve their intended results, why would they continue to perform those actions? We're not talking about not just winning, by the way. We're talking about a belief that the system renders their vote meaningless. It's not irrational to take such a belief and stop voting as a result. That's the natural consequence of such a belief, actually.

quote:

And you really have no room to complain about anything the dems may do to you.
This is often said, but I believe it false. Your vote alone doesn't grant some sort of moral authority to praise or condemn the actions of politicians. I can criticize the actions of politicians and leaders in countries all over the world even though I don't participate in their elections.

Yes, it definitely doesn't matter that Biden has gotten a near blank check by having a slim majority in both houses.

Electing compromised republicans only ensures you get the same result in a much more frustrating way.

Sure, you can criticize all you want. Just don’t expect anyone to take your criticism seriously when you didn’t vote.

quote:

We're talking about a belief that the system renders their vote meaningless

This is a low-intelligence conclusion. That people came to the conclusion does not make it reasonable, rational, intelligent, defensible, or anything else. It is stupid, incorrect, and demonstrates a lack of ability to foresee the result of their inaction. It is not rational to extrapolate their beliefs on the POTUS election that Trump lost to a senate election where Republican votes outnumbered Democratic ones in the primary.
quote:

That's the natural consequence of such a belief, actually.

You can pretend like taking your ball and going home is rational all you want, but it isn’t. It’s emotional and it’s low-information. It produces no result other than total capitulation in elections. That is not rational behavior for anyone who actually wants their preferred policies to be enacted.

Simply believing your position does not make said position reasoned, rational, or intelligent.

While this sounds good, Biden got his $1.9T handout across on a party line vote in the Senate. And Loeffler voted with Trump 100% of the time when she was a senator. Perdue wasn't too far behind her. So no, while it sounds good, this doesn't have any basis.

Quit conflating separate elections. This thread is not about the 2020 POTUS election.

But the solution wasn’t to give the Dems the senate. Enjoy your new Justice.

DEAR OP,

THEN TELL THE CANDIDATES TO STAND UP FOR THEIR PEOPLE AND THEY WILL VOTE!

BLAME THEM!

Precisely...against Biden when they are the minority. Funny how when the GOP controlled Senate, House, and Presidency for 2 years, they couldnt even repeal Obamacare or do anything lasting

Please explain how the candidates, governor, or secretary of state forced a quarter million Georgia Republicans to skip the runoff.

I would rather elect a compromised republican than an honest democrat.

And let's face it... that's the reality in many elections. It's not the reality you want, but it is the reality you have.

A Mayo Lover and a RINO.

People are no longer going to vote for these people.

You might as well get use to it.

Both of these people refused to call out the Ga Gov and Sec of State. They tried the political route and the people said "OK.. well SCREW YOU... you are no better than the dems".

From the same RINO that brought to us "Well, we won't win anyway so what's the point".

The same RINO that stated it was useless to try to reach out to black people because they would never break with the dems...etc.

Then I GUESS THE ELECTED OFFICIALS THAT NEEDED THEIR VOTE SHOULD HAVE GOT OFF THEIR arse AND SPOKE OUT ON BEHALF OF THE PEOPLE THAT VOTED THEM IN!

You don't want to work for them when they are VERY VOCAL, then sit your arse at home and allow somebody else to run!
