Brest has some connections to Rick Wilson. He’s hardly a Trumpist.

Does he write a lot about drugs? It didn’t seem like it was his area of expertise.

And you linking a Washington examiner piece highlights what I was saying. Reading a newspaper article is not researching something. It’s reading a newspaper article. We have to take it at face value, and assume that what it is reporting is correct.

Venezuela isnt sending us Fentanyl. Not in any numbers to matter. Y'all are being misled and dont seem to have the fortitude to research it.

You don't think Mexico diversifies it's distribution system?

So none of the coke from that part of the world eventually gets cut with fent before coming here?
So your argument is ANY substance that can be cut with fent means we just shoot those people? Len Bias died from blow being stirred into Coca Cola. Atlanta...look out!

Venezuela is in the distribution business. They are most definitely smuggling fentanyl.
I'm sure you have SAUCES on that one.

Youre welcome to research this alone, without me. You'll come to the exact same conclusion.

Youve been misled.

Fentanyl comes through our Southern border from Mexico, where companies in China and India ship ingredients. Venezuela is a blip on the Fentanyl radar.

The data that purportedly tells you this is from when?

Same as I told 808. Do your own research, you'll realize youve been duped by the Orange one.

Does the data show no change since we beefed up our land border?

From what I hear, a "blip" of fentanyl can kill a whole lot of people.

Also, Trump closed the border pretty tight. Both trump actions are resulting in fewer fent deaths. You should thank him.

Even that isn't cut and dry.

The original point of Stout's thread was this, and it proved to be mainly a talking point from FoxNews. Fentanyl deaths and fentanyl purity (in all forms) have all been trending downward since mid-2023. Under Biden we seized an average of over 49 thousand pounds of fentanyl a year across the country. We will see the final tally for this year when they release the NDTA sometime next year, but as of June 2025 the pace of seizures at the border was off the mark to come in higher than the 2023 or 2024 total.

Thats a legit deterrent, though they'll devise another scheme, probably manufacturing in this country.

Trumps current affair with Venezuela is not.

That would seem a bit easier to police. Which, I’m guessing is a big reason we don’t see a lot of it already. If it wasn’t, I have to believe you’d see this at this point.

You make stuff up daily. Link the actual report and not what one of your far left comrades tells you it says.
