What were the ratings? I couldn't bring myself to watch a second of it and I am politically geared.

Ever try reading from a prompt? I recorded some pre service announcement videos for my church once and even if you're just reading, it's harder than it sounds to a) not stumble on the words, and b) sound like you're not reading from a script.
ETA And I was doing it as a recording, so if I screwed up, we'd just start over. Doing it live and smoothly is definitely a skill.
