These kids are reaching that age where they think their ideas are new, fresh, and effective because it's the first time they're discovering those ideas. Couple that with unwarranted attention and you get what you see here.
They live in a world of sunny platitudes like "common sense safety policies" but have no real ideas of what that entails. Hell, you see him calling for more policies but he never explains what he wants to see and no one presses him on the issue.

Come on David, we all know that the founding fathers never envisioned the 1st Amendment applying to black assault packs capable of accepting high capacity books and magazines. Black assault packs are weapons of war, issued to troops in Iraq, and they have no place in our schools or on our streets.

Of course the leftists won't challenge him since he's their talking parrot and it would be so wrong for anyone to question him. I say hogwash. He's old enough to get charged as an adult and placed himself into the adult conversation, it's time to treat him as such.

I hate giving this little shite any more attention than he's already getting, but he should feel totally embarrassed by this statement later in life:
