I don't really see him as substantive at all, although I wouldn't compare him to a more traditional influencer like Benny or whatever Candace is. Candace was more akin to Smith and that category IMO, but at this point, she's so bold and absolutist with her crackpottery that I'm not sure she belongs in the same category.
I do think they're all in a much larger category of folks who are looking to exploit the skeptical mood of the right for the personal benefit and that this motivation dominates over any ideological lean.

No what I stayed was a fact. Saying “everyone agrees” or “ruthless intel agency” is not an argument. One is unprovable the other is a double standard. All intel agencies are ruthless, you’re not saying anything

Candace is a power hungry troll who will do anything for power and attention. Never forget that she started her career by founding a site that was used to dox and blackmail people for “hate speech.” If I got in a time machine and transported 20 years in the future, I would not be shocked if Candace turned into Rachel Maddow.

I have no doubt that you've listened to him more than me, but I just really, really, really doubt this to be the case.
What's your assessment - he's a purist true believer trying to use this rightwing discontented moment to evangelize liberalism to the American right (while the right is at arguably it's post liberal/anti-liberal peak)?

Smith may be wrong but he ain’t lying. Murray pretty much revealed that he was bought and paid for.

I think many people who have this opinion are basing it off the stuff they’ve seen from him after the Murray debate. He got a pretty decent spotlight on himself and it got him some extra publicity that he hadn’t gotten in the past. People automatically equate that to some sort of grift but he’s just as consistent now as he was before the debate. He’s not some TikTok charlatan like people want him to be. He’s actually pretty good at admitting when he’s wrong or when he’s not fully confident when discussing a subject.
