At least not officially.

It's been in the open in the US since at least January. China was trying to hide it's impact for 6-8 weeks before they came clean.

A LOT of people were treated for respiratory issues but tested negative for the flu in Jan-Feb in the US.

The data is total garbage because that number is total garbage. I had the Wu Flu at the end of January and the first ten days of February. We just didn't test for anything and everyone just experienced "bad" flus or respiratory illnesses. We had a TON of people (like, 15-20 out of our 250 employees) out stick at various times through the month of January and February, and that is quite higher than we normally see in any given time period.

This is likely right. The Chinese Flu actually started back in October in Wuhan. You think that in the 2 months time before China announced the issue begrudgingly that it didn’t make it to the US? I know several physicians that said they had seen up to 50% of their patients have a respiratory virus that tested negatively for the Flu in January and February. Wait and see we will have tanked our economy due to panic not a deadly pandemic.

Consider for total cases:
March 2nd: 100 Cases
March 11th: 1,000 Cases
March 20th: 10,000 Cases (projected, but right on track)
Who the hell cares about total cases? Hell, I assume we have WAAAAAAAY more than 10,000 cases in the US.

I’m not saying our hospitals can’t get overwhelmed with truly sick people. I just don’t know enough about what this virus is doing.

But I want to see numbers on how many people are being admitted to ICU beds and the daily growth of that. And also deaths and who is dying and their age/underlying conditions.

The media is freaking the frick out with bed capacity. Why the hell are they showing these “scary” confirmed cases numbers and not the important numbers?

Dr Brixt, Blizt, whatever the woman doctor name in the presser this am, she said the previous swabs from before they got all set up with the private lab industry are just now being processed by said private labs. So we are currently processing a couple weeks worth of test swabs past along with another 20k or more new swabs that are coming in daily. expect the case numbers to skyrocket.

H1N1 swine flu had 120x US deaths than now & no shutdowns
this is what i'm looking at - comparing to previous outbreaks. i can't for the life of me understand why this puny virus is being described as so horrific. after approximately 3 months, possibly more, there are not even 250k cases WORLDWIDE.

after 6 months of h1n1 in the us, there were 20 MILLION CASES. we are nowhere near that sort of trajectory. no one in 2009 was saying the country needed to be shut down to prevent the system being overwhelmed. no one. obama didn't even declare an emergency until 1000K people DIED. we're not even at 125 right now. it's being speculated that the virus has been here longer than the first case reported in late jan which makes it even less virulent.

this is crazy. now governors are threatening to use force to disband gatherings.

interesting deaths are increasing 10x every 14 days at the moment
eh. the daily growth of deaths has been negligible and manageable (not that i want anyone to die). the first case was reported in late jan but many suspect the virus has been around longer than that and we still haven't even topped 150 deaths nationwide. this thing isn't even moving the needle right now.

daily growth rate has gone DOWN 9 of the last 11 days.

So approximately every 10 days increase 10 fold? March 30 -100,000 infected. April 9 - 1 million? Scary stuff indeed.

ever notice how everyone not only refused to show it vs the regulasr flu or the cold, but they will actively lie about it and claim the regular flu and regular colds are killing way more people then this carona virus ever will even if the worst case spread of the virus occurs

the only thing this virus will result in being deadly is to your paycheck and 401k

41 deaths today. 27% of total in the US so far, way outside the trend so far.

To put that in perspective deaths have been rising every day for the last 5 days, and almost double from yesterdays death count (23).
