I'd say hes probably closest to a left-ish libertarian, but doesn't really have a home politically. Or at least won't firmly put it on record.

Let's be fair about this. The only "ethnic states" that grate on the Left are any of them with a decidedly Nordic look/genotype to them.
But it's not like the Left hasn't had anyone who promoted enclaves, compounds, schools, or subdivisions who might have a distinctly white "ethnic" majority.
Recall one who was the darling of the Left - Jimmy Carter - who did it and caused a storm of controversy when we all heard him say, "I don't see anything wrong with remaining ethnically pwyoor."
