Add a value predictor to it. The poor souls entering a residence to take what is rightfully theirs need a quick estimator to keep the booty below $750.

Steal $700 worth of goods a day 5 days a week. Not a bad living. How’s it work? Just stroll into Target, load a couple of TVs into the cart and walk out the door? Are you allowed to sell them for 25% off cash right out the door or do you have to go to a new location? Will they still hit you for tax evasion if you don’t pay tax on it? Maybe the stores can have a little log at the customer service counter for you to log your haul and they can send you a statement at the end of the year showing actual value of all items to make taxes easier.

be careful I got a PM from an admin about starting a "racial" thread.

All I did was post the statistics of London's murder rate and I did not add a comment.

Ya, it is.

If I'm a grocery or liquor store owner, I'm making plans to close and move. Fast.

This is basically saying people of a certain persuasion can steal $750 worth of food and liquor and nothing will happen to them because it's not for "economic gain."

Can I go to the grocery store in Dallas and steal my groceries as long as I keep it under $750?

I think it's more likely to be toothpaste and maxipads, and it appears to only apply to first time offenders.

He said it's to help people of color. Will white people stealing stuff less than $750 be prosecuted?

That will be a darn interesting court case.

This sounds crazy. Literally what is going to stop anyone from just walking into a store, grabbing whatever they feel like, and just walking out?

Imagine, just walking into a convenience store, grab some slim jims and beer, and walk out, without any a nod to the cashier.

I imagine a lot of convenience stores are going to install a window and just lock their doors. Anything you need they will give you through a window, after you pay.

The bigger stores will have to have armed security and look at everyone that walks out the door.

It'll cost them substantial extra money, but less than letting thieves just stroll out the door with 749 dollars a day worth of shite.

Can you still kill someone who breaks into your house to steal personal items of less that $750 in value, or do you have to let them take it?

Uh, check me if I’m off here...but isn’t pretty much EVERY theft made for “economic gain”?
