econd, it proves that the Democrats are playing politics more than usual and slow crawling even the most mundane of nominations.

Wrong. It also shows the same for The Republicans Trump has had 37% approved . Obama 36%

I VERY clearly stated that Trump has not nominated enough people, but that literally has nothing to do with the fact that the Senate has confirmed a FAR lower percentage of his nominations at this point than they did any of his predecessors. FAR lower percentage.

Why is that?

It's really not. I know anything but absolute and total worship won't be enough for you guys, but I defend and make excuses for Trump pretty regularly.

Wrong. Do the math. According to the chart Cajun posted, Trump has had a GREATER percentage of his nominees approved than Obama did.

And seriously. Maybe Trump should focus some of his ire on his own party since THEY'RE the ones with the power to actually approve his nominees. Of course, the real reason his own party isn't in a rush to confirm his nominees is that Trump himself is obstructing them by making certain they are constantly bogged down defending whatever ridiculous statement or action he's done in a particular week.

Trump bitches about leaks, but he's the biggest leaker of all.

Trump bitches about obstruction, but he's the biggest obstacle to his own agenda.

You can't make this shite up!

Let me tell you , if you've ever dealt with an Embassy , you are quite aware that the Ambassador is a figurehead, it literally doesn't matter who you put into such a position, at all. Except in a political sense, meaning you usually place someone who is friends with said country into the position.

But the work is done by other people. The Ambassador is almost universally simply a rubber stamp from the State Department and nothing more.

False false false. The Amb has authority over every other executive agency, to include the dod (Except in certain circumstances) , cia and nsa. They can approve or deny almost any operation at any time. In CENTCOM and AFRICOM, the Amb. Matters a lot. A whole lot.

Yes they can, based on directives from the State Department. Meaning any decisions they make are within a very narrow spectrum set by those above them.

There is no special requirement for knowledge or skill required to be ambassador. It's 100% political.

Go chase some headlights.

His statement is not false. They have refused to work with him since DAY 1. Rather than do their fricking jobs, they want to pout, fight, sing, dress all in white. Trump could have the cure for cancer out there for approval and the Dems would bitch and moan, sing joy to the world and then have someone leak some shite to the press all while letting people die. The dems are that freaking selfish.

Where have all of you guys up in arms yelling about obstructionist been for the past six years? Was that ok but not now?

It ms the system we have and both sides are filled with clowns that use it in a manner in which it's not supposed to be used. I think the intent was to be a system of checking the party in power from abusing that power. Either/both sides taking this idiotic position that they just won't agree to anything period while Not controlling the whitehousr is harmful to our country.

Of course that doesn't mean approving unqualified individuals.

But circling back, neither side is innocent in this game. I cant say I blame the Dems if they play obstructionsit at this point given all that had gone in the past several years.

I took neurology in grad school and med school, and I made an A both times (yep I am that big of a nerd). POTUS hadn't shown any signs of dementia or delirium.

He's submitted as many as Bush, right?

He's not trying to pickle the whole of D.C. With his minions like O and WJC did.
